Chapter 57: Satisfaction
Alice had just come out of the shower room when she noticed that Enzo was in deep thought. He silently stood, looking through the window.
"What are you thinking?" She approached Enzo, hugging him from behind.
Enzo smiled faintly and said, "I’m Enzo Williams from York City. I lost my sister and my father five years ago... That’s what I’ve learned about my identity today."
"Are you sad?" She asked, trying to assess his feelings.
"I’m a little bit sad. But I’m happy because I found a new hope. I think I might recover my memory if I return to York City and meet my other relatives." Enzo was feeling determined.
Meanwhile, Alice wasn’t happy to hear this. Enzo was planning to leave Fortuna Grande and return to York City to regain his memory. This was something she and her boss wanted to prevent from happening.
"Hmm. I understand," Alice simply said, concealing her intent to stop him.
"But honey, you know... I’ve been a little bit jealous of your closeness with Athena. She’s a beauty. I suddenly felt threatened." Alice changed the topic, diverting Enzo’s attention away from York City and his plan to recover his memory.
Enzo turned around to look at her face. "Sweety, you don’t have to feel jealous of her. She’s just my friend. You are the only woman in my heart." He reassured her, his hands cupping her face. He rested his forehead on hers.
Alice placed her palms on his sturdy chest, feeling his heartbeat. "Then prove it," she challenged him.
