Chapter 45: Connection
"Sasha, I’m your friend. If there’s anything I can do to help you, don’t hesitate to confide in me," Melissa encouraged Sasha, offering her support.
"I know you love Dominique so deeply. But I can understand if you–"
"Mel, Stop!" Sasha interrupted her friend. "I’m not cheating on Dominique. I’m doing my best to make our marriage work. Not only me, but also Dominique." She denied it.
"Don’t get mad at me, Sasha. I’m just trying to help. I’m a sex doctor and a therapist. I know how hard it was for you to endure your complicated situation caused by your husband’s condition." Melissa held her shoulders.
"I’m not going to tell Dominique about this. You don’t have to hide it from me. I mean... my point is that... if you want to remain faithful to your husband, you don’t have to seek other men to fulfill your sexual needs. I’m here to help you." Melissa gently rubbed her shoulder, her one hand caressing Sasha’s cheek.
Sasha’s strong facade slowly broke down upon hearing that. Of course, she wanted to remain faithful to Dominique. However, she had already made mistakes.
"It was never my intention to betray my husband. But... There were times I longed for physical touch. I was tempted in the past. But now, I won’t repeat the same mistakes... especially now that Dominique is willing to do other methods to conceive a child." Sasha finally opened up with Melissa.
Melissa gave her a reassuring smile. "I know. I understand. There are so many ways to pleasure yourself, Sasha. If you can’t do it alone... you can always come to me. My clinic is always open for you." She squeezed her arm tenderly as she looked at her meaningfully.
"We can experiment. I have a lot of toys to introduce to you," she added, playfully winking at Sasha.
Sasha nodded, feeling grateful to her friend. "Thank you, Mel. Please don’t tell anyone about this... including Liz."
"Of course. This is just a secret between us." Melissa gently patted her back. "Besides, Liz had no idea why you left the V Club without saying goodbye that night. I lied to her."
"I truly appreciate that, Mel." Sasha hugged her friend, expressing her gratitude.
