"Yes," Jon said while taking out the bottle of potent aphrodisiac intended for Madeline Rose.
Angel shrugged as she thought Jon’s worry was ridiculous. "Then you have nothing to worry about. It’s all going according to plan."
Honestly, Jon wasn’t sure what would happen next. He was 90% convinced that Madeline would reject him and wasn’t used to forcing himself on someone.
He had always been the one being fawned over by everyone, and the thought of having to force Madeline to take a drug and then rape her was extremely disturbing for him.
He began to wonder if this was the right thing to do. Maybe he should’ve retreated before it was too late. He certainly didn’t want to offend Lancelot Grant or any of the Grant family members, as their connection ran deep.
Glancing at Angel, who was absorbed in her phone, Jon noticed Angel’s mood gradually worsening as she was texting with her fiance, Theodore Grant.
Jon couldn’t understand why Theodore would get engaged with a grandma. He knew a few things about the young millionaire.
He was the first son of the Grant family and the current CEO of Silver Line. He was also good-looking, though not as much as his little brother.
With all of that, it seemed almost unbelievable for him to fall in love with this "crazy hag" when he had so many young women lining up to spend a night with him.
