Chapter 147
"Mwah..." Lance muttered with a face as red as a ripe tomato. He was shocked when Madeline suddenly gave him kisses on the phone before hanging up, and now his heart felt itchy. He wanted to do the same for Madeline, too.
Nevertheless, he felt better knowing those hate mongers didn’t affect her in the slightest.
"Well, now I can focus on my work," Lance said as he put his phone in his pocket.
The door was knocked on, and his secretary, Deborah, walked in. "Sir, everyone is waiting for you in the meeting room."
"Mm, I’ll be there soon," Lance said.
He made sure that he maintained his momentum as he walked into the meeting room. These boards of directors and shareholders were a bunch of ass-kissers who would kiss up to Theodore, knowing that Theo had so much power as the CEO of Silver Line Inc.
He had no hard feelings for them because if he were in their position, he’d probably do the same since Theodore had a better track record.
But he had to slowly replace them one by one so he could protect Madeline properly and get his own resources against his big brother.
He shot a hostile look at Theodore, who sat right across the long table, grinning as he was ready to humiliate Lance if he refused the TV show proposal, with Zane and Madeline as the main leads.
Lance cleared his throat and sat in his seat. He watched how the appointed TV show director began explaining the plot of the TV show by developing the script idea that Lance had proposed before.
