Viviana didn’t want to ruin this chance. Leander looked at her like he didn’t know her.
Maybe he didn’t.
She changed a lot after her parents passed away. She became more pessimistic and was intrigued with death. After meeting Leander though, watching him and listening to him has changed her.
She was surprised by the changes in her way of thinking. She has become more confident. She will give all the credit to Leander. It was his love that gave her that confidence.
Even in these tough times, she could find hope because of love.
She took in a deep breath. She needs to tell him what she feels whether he likes it or not.
"I am sorry for reacting strongly. I didn’t mean to. I did ask you to do what you want. But that does not include what you do TO me. Please refrain from touching me when you have remnants of another woman on you. Treat me with dignity," she said in the gentlest tone possible.
Her intent was not to hurt him or blame him that he was acting brutish with her. She wanted to express her feelings in the most loving way possible.
She wanted for their relationship to last a lifetime.
She didn’t want him to do whatever he wanted to do. She needs to draw boundaries.
She loved him to death. But there are some things that she won’t accept, things she can’t accept. She can bear almost anything but not everything he does, precisely because she loves him.
Danielle might have told her to have some respect for herself out of her hatred for men. But she was right to tell her to have self-respect.
