Chapter 249: Reason He Looked for His Lost Daughters
Leander watched her talking non-stop. She was whispering most of the time and he couldn’t say what she was talking about.
But she was having fun. Her face was blooming. That was enough for him.
Steve knocked the door. Leander walked to the door and opened it.
"Evander went to meet Leonardo and he can’t be contacted from last evening. Barnabas called," he said.
Leander nodded. It’s not news to them. Leander had a feeling that today’s date will be marked as Evander’s date of death.
But hey, what else can he do? He tried to warn everyone in the family. And he was stopped from acting against the Vitale family. His hands are tied, right?
"Barnabas asked you to make a visit to Leonardo Vitale," Steve said. It was his duty to inform everything he was told.
"When and where has the consigliere arranged a meeting?" Leander asked fully well knowing that no meeting would have been arranged.
Leonardo Vitale laid a trap and Evander willingly went and got caught. He won’t accept a meeting with their side. His grandfather wants him to go guns a blazing into the Vitale stronghold to save his dearest grandson.
Does he have the guts to do that? Yes. Would he have done that for his brother in the past? Yes? But does he want to take that risk now?
His heart’s answer to that question was a big fat NO.
Steve understood what Leander was meaning. "I’ll come to you with the details," he bowed his head and retreated.
