The next morning, Viviana didn’t know if Leander would eat breakfast, but she prepared for him too. All the while, she couldn’t help but stare at her ring.
Mary was the first to ask about the ring, and with a blushing face, Viviana showed her the ring. Soon, all the maids joined in having a view of the ring. Katerina came to disperse them away.
Viviana didn’t know why Katerina glared at her lately. Usually, she would bow her head and leave the place leaving Katerina, but this time, she stared back at Katerina.
Aren’t I the wife? Don’t I have "power" and "responsibilities"? I would be of higher status than the housekeeper, right?
Just as she expected, Katerina bowed and left the kitchen. Viviana hoped that Katerina would go and complain to Leander and Leander removes her "power". She wanted nothing to do with the Kastello family structure.
