Chapter 82: Feeling Special
Nathaniel’s heart was beating in his throat out of fear. "No," he came straight to the point. "Her uterus is very weak and she cannot sustain a fetus even if she didn’t have endometriosis."
Viviana saw Leander clenching his hands into balls. His shoulders were getting stiffer and she could see that he was holding his breath. He is getting mad that he is not going to get what he wants.
She was not surprised by what Nathaniel said. She knew it already. Even if they remove the tissues surrounding her uterus, it will return at a later point. She might have a couple of years of less pain, but then it will return. And she will have to do another surgery, or she cannot because her uterus is very weak as they say.
She has no out from this situation other than having a hysterectomy. And at her age, a hysterectomy would cause her severe issues. She’s hardened her heart to accept her reality.
Leander will accept the reality too. He will inform his grandfather and then...
Death...
She was not afraid of death anymore. She doesn’t have any wishes left. She can die peacefully.
"Steve!" Leander shouted and Steve opened the door.
Viviana wondered if Steve always waits at the door for Leander to call for him. He always answers immediately. She didn’t even see him there and yet he manifests in front of Leander when he is called--like a genie.
"Take the doctor to the next room," Leander said.
Viviana’s heart skipped a beat. She knows the next room is the torture room. She saw what happened to the hairdresser. Will the same happen to the doctor too?
Nothing is the doctor’s fault though!
