Even though the object had perfect craftsmanship, giving it a luxurious appearance, at first glance, anyone would think it was just a simple candle. However, it was actually another magical item found inside a rift.
The candle was enchanted with a highly convenient silence spell. Because of this, once lit, it emitted a soft, almost ethereal glow, accompanied by a barely audible hum that resonated with the very fabric of the tent.
This wasn’t a light or sound meant to be perceived consciously, but rather a magical emanation that warped the very air around it. Within a radius of approximately five meters from the candle’s flickering flame, the vibrations that carry sound were subtly dampened and redirected.
Any noise produced within this zone, from a hushed whisper to an impassioned declaration, would be magically absorbed and dispersed, preventing it from traveling beyond the invisible boundary.
To anyone outside the five-meter radius, the tent would appear perfectly silent. Actually, the only thing it would be possible to hear would be a continuous and light sound of fire burning.
Naturally, that was the perfect item to avoid any information being spilled out. As much as the students were not enemies, they would not want anyone eavesdropping while they talked.
