Chapter 92: After the intense battle for survival
Morrigan moved through the dark caves with hurried steps, her breath uneven as she kept accelerating. And as a monster appeared in her way, she quickly destroyed it with an exaggerated blast of fire.
Any other beast around, seeing such massive destruction, chose to get away from the woman whose eyes were filled with anxiety.
She didn’t even bat an eye at the creature she had just killed and kept going forward. Her mind was fixated on a single, gnawing thought: Davi might be dead. And she would never forgive herself if this was really the case.
After all, she had promised Amelia she would protect the boy and give him the chance to grow, as both women had great expectations of him.
"There is no way he is really dead, that damn stubborn man would never die so easily," she murmured to herself, trying to calm her soul.
The mere possibility made her chest tighten, a strange mix of anger and dread twisting inside her. And she clenched her teeth, thinking about how Amanda had caused all of that. She would kill that damn bitch if she ever had the chance.
Morrigan clenched her fists. She wasn’t going to panic, she needed to keep her worries under control, and act rationally.
Then the students’ camp’s flickering lanterns soon came into view, and soon many eyes closed on her. However she didn’t spend time talking to them, or explaining the situation, she just busted directly to the improvised jail, where Wein was held Wein.
The man was tied with a chain that drained his mana, and just in case Alexia was around him, looking to prevent him from doing anything strange.
"Did something happen?" Alexia, upon seeing Morrigan seeming worried, asked, equally worried. Her heart sank, noticing how Davi hadn’t come back with the red head.
Anyway, Morrigan didn’t waste time. She strode forward, and grabbed Wein by the collar, and yanked him up.
