Chapter 68: The individual test - Sylvia
Suddenly, Sylvia found herself in a new place. Looking around, she noticed she was in a damp, dense forest, surrounded by colossal trees whose thick canopies blocked almost all sunlight, plunging the environment into an oppressive gloom.
Among the twisted trunks, massive shadows moved: they were enormous orcs with greenish skin, armed with serrated axes and bone-tipped spears. Their guttural grunts echoed through the woods, mingling with the rustling of leaves and the snapping of branches under their heavy feet.
’Your mission is to kill all the orcs,’
The same overly enthusiastic voice from before resonated in her mind, informing her of what she needed to do.
The girl summoned two swords into her hands and prepared for the attack. Moving silently, she hid in the shadows of the area and approached one of the opponents softly.
The moment the orc turned to see who was approaching from behind, a swift cut occurred. Even though the orc’s skin was extremely tough, to Sylvia, it seemed as soft as butter.
"One down," Sylvia whispered under her breath.
Suddenly, a low grunt echoed to her left. Sylvia quickly turned, her swords ready. A massive orc emerged from the bushes, wielding a rusty axe. He roared, baring his sharp teeth, and charged toward her.
Sylvia didn’t hesitate. With a quick movement, she dodged her enemy’s clumsy strike, and in the blink of an eye, her right sword sliced through the air, striking the orc’s neck.
The monster’s head rolled to the ground before its body had time to fall. But Sylvia didn’t waste time thinking about it, as she noticed another enemy approaching.
This orc was more cautious, holding a heavy club with both hands. He tried to attack Sylvia with a sideways swing, but she blocked it with one sword and, with the other, pierced his heart.
