Chapter 52: A tuned blade.
"Please prepare everything necessary for me to enter the dungeons," Morrigan requested one of her secretaries.
"Are you sure about this?" the man asked, surprised.
If the redhead entered the dungeon, especially without permission, the position of academy principal would immediately fall into the hands of the current council president.
Even so, the girl had no other choice. There was a chance Davi was still alive somewhere down there, and she needed to save him. No, not just him, others might be alive too.
Why didn’t I do this earlier? Well, I probably wouldn’t have made a difference anyway, Morrigan thought, questioning herself again if she should have disobeyed the rules and gone into the rift with Amelia.
Regardless, at that moment, she was certain Davi was necessary for the future. And he was likely fighting for his life at that very moment. That’s why she needed to go in and search for him.
"I know it’s a risky decision, but I have to go," she finally said after hesitating for a few more moments.
"Understood, I’ll prepare everything in just two hours."
With that, the secretary left, seeming determined to fulfill his duty. He was a good employee, loyal and diligent.
Morrigan’s gaze then turned to a drawing in her notebook. It was the sword Davi had asked her to repair.
At first, things were going well, but one of the parts she had asked another blacksmith to make ended up poorly crafted. In fact, it was this very event that made her feel she needed to enter the rift.
