Chapter 114: Brother
Tangtang seemed to feel a bit embarrassed by this, as he could tell that his brother was praising him.
Jian Zhiqing had been searching for his brother for quite a while, and now that his nerves had relaxed, he noticed his own hunger.
He put the little one down, and then took his small hand and sat him on the chair.
"Get me something to eat, and this little guy too," he touched his little brother’s cheek, wondering if he would grow up to be a pretty boy.
"Brother, Tangtang is full," the little one patted his own belly, "Sister took Tangtang to eat. Tangtang had yummy pancakes and sweet porridge," he counted on his little fingers, confirming that he indeed had eaten his fill and slept well too.
Jian Zhiqing stretched out his hand to touch his brother’s belly, thinking how lucky the kid was to have encountered Qin Xiangnuan. He didn’t know what kind of fate it was, but somehow it’s been Qin Xiangnuan twice now, otherwise the little guy would have had a hard time knowing what to eat.
Qin Xiangnuan served a lotus leaf pancake, and also prepared a bowl of hot and sour noodles for Jian Zhiqing, then brought it over and placed it on the table.
Oh, a change, Jian Zhiqing was surprised, but it seemed even tastier—steaming hot with a rich, spicy flavor. Being a smart man, he just needed to look at the scallion pancakes being sold at a nearby stall to realize what had transpired—someone got tricked.
But a fall into a pit, a gain in your wit; a young girl needs to stumble a few times to grow.
He took a bite of the hot and sour noodles; the taste was really spot on.
"The taste is good," he praised generously, without exaggerating, because it was indeed that delicious.
