Chapter 20: Death
"Don't tell me this god has a crush on me!" said Jung as a matter of fact.
Not waiting for a response, he stood next to Nero. "Don't worry, I will take this fight seriously, just for you."
Silence dominated the room, yet Jung continued without withdrawing his eyes from the beast.
"I know you are worried about me, but you don't have to be. I promise I will survive."
Jung's tone never forfeited confidence.
However, instead of the system, Nero replied. "I am not worried about your heavy ass."
Laughing, Jung tried to pet her until he got smacked. "I am not talking to you, my lovely pussy cat."
Unfortunately, there was no time.
Summoned light kept increasing, and Jung had no clue what would happen.
"Nero, tell me you can stop that thing," he asked his sole party member.
The answer came, though not in the way he wanted to hear it. "I can block, but you can't."
