Chapter 447: SHE WAS CURSING HIM
Cane groaned into Iris’ mouth as her fingers raked down his back. He didn’t think he would ever get enough, no matter how much he touched her or how close they were.
It surprised Cane when Iris pulled his hand and placed it over her chest. She let him know that it was okay for him to touch her, which eased his conscience, as he kept replaying what horrendous things he had done to her in the past. He would understand if she pushed him away when the same memory came to her.
But, she didn’t.
Iris surprised him time and again, reminding him how strong she was in her mind and heart to find it in herself to forgive him and move past the darkest parts of her life, while Cane was still struggling with the demons of his past.
It was not that Iris wasn’t struggling, she had her own battles, too. She could be very sweet and timid, but also stubborn and decisive at the same time. She knew what she wanted and she always knew how to communicate her needs and feelings, something that Cane couldn’t relate to.
The way she stared at him and how she allowed him to touch herself was the reassurance Cane needed that he was not a monster, who only knew how to kill and hurt people around him.
Gently, Cane slipped his hand under her dress and fondled her breast, which made Iris gasp, but she didn’t push him away. The feeling of his rough hand against her sensitive skin sent shivers down her spine, especially when he slowly moved his free hand down to her other breast, brushed it lightly and then caressed her stomach down to her navel.
Cane touched her over the fabric of her dress and Iris felt so annoyed at her own dress, wanting to feel his skin against her own overwhelmed her senses.
Meanwhile, a small smile played on the corner of Cane’s lips. His eyes turned dreamy when he watched his mate move her body without her realizing it.
She was not in pain. That was the first thought that came to his mind.
The Alpha slowly pulled her dress up and touched her inner thigh, he caressed her lightly, which made her squirm. She was bothered because Cane wasn’t really touching her and just teased her instead.
