Chapter 1041: Ledger
"We’ve checked the containers. All four of them have arms and drugs hidden in a mountain of bananas. They’re mostly drugs, though," Primo announced as soon as he entered the office — which was also a container designed as an office. "There’s a sighting of a ship making its way in here, just as what he said."
Primo stood several feet from the couch where Hera was idling. Next to her was the tied-up ’middleman’ on the floor, waiting to be sentenced. The middle man slowly shifted his shaky eyes to Hera, who was busy reading the documents she got from the man’s secret compartment.
"How about the fifth container?" Hera snapped her eyes up to Primo. "Did you find it?"
"Fifth container?" Primo furrowed his brows. "This guy only said there’s only four."
Hera glanced at the tied-up man, only to see him nod profusely. "According to his ledger, there are always five containers." She then tossed the notebook on the table in front of her, leaning over until her arms were on her legs. She kept her eyes on the middleman, reaching to him to remove the duct tape over his mouth.
"Where’s the fifth container?" she inquired, her tone almost made Primo jolt even though she wasn’t talking to him. It was just that her voice sounded so intimidating, and her presence was enough to make him forget about her emotional struggles.
"Where is it?" she repeated, stressing each syllable. "Don’t lie again. Or next time, you’ll have to use your own blood to write your answers."
The man who introduced himself as the middleman felt his entire body shudder. "It’s docked on the other side of the port," he confessed with a shaky voice. "It was supposed to be shipped out separately."
"Tch." Primo clicked his tongue in irritation, taking his phone out to make a phone call. "There’s a fifth container on the other side of the port. Confirm its content and stay on standby."
