Chapter 934: The reason Dane was shaken at the thought of Dominic
Ivy cried and cried, but she immediately recomposed herself when she felt safe enough that her beloved Tiger was here with her. She slowly pulled back, looking up at him with a relieved smile. Tiger smiled back, wiping her tears with his thumb.
"You really came," she muttered under her breath. "You kept your promise."
"Of course." He quipped. "I told you, didn’t I? That if something like this happens, I’d go even if it’s the pits of hell."
It sounded cheesy, but Ivy bit her lips as she chuckled. She was simply relieved that he had come and rescued her in time. If they didn’t come, she could imagine what could be her fate in Katherine’s hand. Now that she thought about it, deep lines appeared between her brows.
Ivy shifted her eyes to the person behind Tiger, who was leaning against the sedan’s rear. "Anyway, why are the two of you together?"
"Huh?" Tiger glanced over his shoulder and rocked his head. "Ahh. Do you mean him? Well, he wanted to deal with Dimitri himself. His pride in getting deceived for years compelled him to come here."
Ivy pressed her lips into a thin line, shifting her attention to Tiger. "So, you know?"
"Mhm." His hum had a tinge of bitterness. "The truth is always not a pleasant thing to face."
"I know." Ivy cleared her throat, huffing sharply. "Even I was shocked to see how he changed, only to realize he didn’t change. Dimitri had always been like that and the Dane Zhang we all knew was simply a character he played."
