Chapter 892: Leo’s resentment

"How can you... hurt her and speak words of love so lightly at the same time?"

Leo left a long pause after his remarks while Dragon assessed the man. A shallow breath slipped past Dragon, almost disappointed at him.

"You went further than I expected," Dragon remarked calmly, brushing off Leo’s hand from his collar. He slowly rose from his seat while tugging his suit, facing the man squarely. "Normally, I wouldn’t mind keeping you while knowing you’re harboring romantic feelings for my wife. After all, she’s mine and will always be mine."

"You’re not the first person who wants to claim her," he continued. "However, I don’t have the energy to compete any longer, nor do I plan to give anyone a chance. I’ve already won."

Dragon paused as he fixed his tie. "In two days, my team will infiltrate an enemy in hiding. You’re going with them. Of course, you’ll tell her you’re simply going abroad to receive further treatment." The corner of his lips curled up.

"Mr. Wu, I’ve been in this industry long enough to see through your scheme the first time you pitched it." He nodded reassuringly. "I didn’t make a mistake, just as you said I did. I can dispose of you in countless different ways and as natural as a heart attack."

With that being said, Dragon turned on his heel and walked away. He stopped after a few steps.

"Hera is not an object that anyone could just claim," Leo spewed without regard to the more pressing matter. It wasn’t like he didn’t know Dragon would dispose of him. He just didn’t know which method that devil would use. "She’s human. She had emotion. Simple words like that... just how can you be so oblivious to how such words could cut a person’s heart?"

Dragon glanced over his shoulder. "If she hadn’t lost her memories, she’d laughed and disagreed with you."

"No!" Leo raised his voice, grinding his teeth. "I don’t know the version of Hera that you knew, but I’m sure she wouldn’t completely disagree with me."

His throat shook as he gulped the bitterness in his throat. "After hearing everything you said and all those little details in the past, I now realize you don’t seem to know her just as you claimed, Dragon."
