Chapter 794: What remains unchanged
The view from Dragon’s garden didn’t offer the same beauty as her room. If anything, all she could see from there was the building where her room was located.
’So even in here...’she thought, standing in front of the window while Dragon was out. ’... you’re watching me, huh?’
A look of ridicule briefly appeared on her face, telling herself just how obsessive Dragon was. Even though his room was far from hers, his room was placed in an area where he could still see where she was. It was disconcerting, and she was relieved she hadn’t done anything foolish after that last time she tried to escape.
’I wonder if Deborah got out?’she asked herself, hugging herself while suppressing the nervousness creeping into her heart. ’I hope she’s fine... because if she’s not, I will have to kill her myself before she runs her mouth.’
She pressed her lips as bitterness shone in her eyes at the thought. Deborah knew Hera’s secret. If Deborah was caught and tattled, Hera had to push herself to do something she never thought she would in this life. However, being in this body somehow gave her the courage to do so. After all, battling with Hera’s memories somehow affected her.
Hera was merciless to her enemies. She hurt and killed people if she had to.
’It’s okay, Heaven,’she told herself. ’You decided to let Debbie in on your secret because... you know she won’t do that to you. Trust in Hera’s instincts.’
Hera nodded to herself, diverting her attention to her faint reflection on the glass. She had been making wise decisions based on the original Hera’s train of thought. The original Hera was the reason she was able to hold out this long. Therefore, she had to trust that she made the right call in putting some little faith in Deborah.
She took a deep breath, and somehow, all the alarms in her brain tingled. Before she knew it, she glanced over her shoulder and heard some faint noises outside.
