Chapter 733: Strings of guilt
Meanwhile, Deborah stood behind the wheelchair, gazing at the woman seated in it. She had been accompanying Hera every time Dragon wasn’t around to take her to the garden. Even so, Hera wasn’t as lively as when she was with Dragon.
"It’s pretty, isn’t it?" Hera smiled subtly, glancing back at Deborah. "You’re always silent... name?"
"Deborah." Deborah smiled subtly. "People call me Deb."
"Hera."
"I know."
Hera’s smile broadened as she fixed her eyes on the beautiful greenery around her. There were various flowers. It was a shame she couldn’t pluck them and put them in a vase. After all, they would only take her here for a short time as part of her recovery.
"Let’s rest," she said as she looked back at Deborah. "You should also sit down. I’ve never seen you sit down whenever you accompany me. It makes me think you don’t like me."
"It’s not that I don’t like you, but, well, sure." Deborah didn’t prolong the conversation as she wheeled Hera to the nearest bench. Deborah sat down on the bench after positioning Hera beside it.
There was a moment of silence between them, which wasn’t new to them. Deborah couldn’t help but look at Hera’s profile.
