"With a face like hers, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone is willing to back her up. Didn’t she say she was having financial problems?"
Mr. Yang went out of his office, only to catch some employees gossiping while working. Upon seeing him, they stopped, and it went quiet. However, it was too late for that. He already heard enough.
"Is this how you treat your colleagues behind their backs?" he started, displeasure coloring his face. "How can you all believe such ridiculous rumors? You haven’t even considered if she came from a well-off family and simply believed she’s some old man’s mistress!"
His face turned red as he scolded everyone in one breath. Mr. Yang wouldn’t deny he was curious. After all, Heaven didn’t seem to be the type to be someone’s mistress. Even though she was sometimes a headache, she was more like a ball of sunshine in this department. Moreover, Heaven made a huge contribution to this department settling its biggest problems and now, they had free time to gossip.
