Silas flinched when the blaring noise disrupted the silence in the underground parking. He turned his head and his eyes searched for someone who could’ve heard his conversation. It took him a few seconds to catch Axel standing behind the car while looking back at him with wide eyes.
"This nosy bastard..." Silas hissed, as he immediately knew Axel had heard his conversation. It didn’t matter if Axel heard the entire thing or just the snippet of it. The mere fact that Axel was here was enough for him to think of thoughts to shut his mouth.
Meanwhile, Axel’s entire body froze for a second. The moment he locked eyes with Silas, all the nerves in his body screamed at him to run.
’I’m dead,’ he told himself, staggering back to get away.
"Axel Zhu." His breath hitched when Silas called his name while wearing that diabolical grin on his face. "You don’t eavesdrop on people. That’s not nice."
Silas shook his head before he ordered, "Get him. He can’t get away or he’ll run that damn mouth of his."
"No!" A surge of adrenaline exploded in Axel’s chest, which streamed to the ends of his nerves. He turned around and found the strength to run to his car.
’He’ll kill me, he’ll kill me! I can’t die!’were the things Axel was screaming in his head as he sprinted to his car. He didn’t dare look back, afraid that if he did, the person chasing after him was already close.
