Silas panted for air, holding the door still. His teeth were clenched and his heart was racing to all the running and adrenaline surging throughout his every nerve.
"That bitch..." he let out a scoff, double-locking the door before tilting his head to the slim glass window beside the door. "Hah."
The moment he peeked at the window that was on either side of the door, he caught Heaven sauntering toward the door. Heaven bent slightly, ruffling Mercy’s head with a devious smile. When Mercy licked her hand and rested on the side, Heaven straightened her back. She faced the slim window where he stood, looking at him with a crafty smirk.
’This damn wench...’Silas mentally laughed, watching her advance in his direction until she was standing in front of him.
Knock knock.
Heaven tapped at the glass with the fork she was carrying, making him arch his brows. Just when he thought she was going to say anything, Heaven kept the fork’s end on the glass, only to scratch the glass with it.
’Argh!’ Silas clenched his teeth, taking a step back as the sound made his teeth wobble.
