Chapter 137: [Bonus - ]A collateral damage
From what Miriam said, it was enough to make Dominic the prime suspect. On the day of Heaven’s death, there were only a few people in the mansion. In other words, a killer in the house could execute his or her wicked plans smoothly.
It could be considered premeditated; a plan Dominic had come up with months ago, creating an opportunity for someone he hired to do the job without a problem. Considering the original Heaven’s mind was a maze of suicidal thoughts, it wouldn’t be surprising if her killer made it look like a suicide.
If Hera didn’t wake up in this body, Miriam would’ve arrived that morning with Heaven’s cold body. However, she was so certain Dominic was innocent. Even so, the authorities would think otherwise if they got hold of Heaven’s cold body that day.
After all, in this type of crime, it was always the husband.
But she was a hundred percent certain Dominic was innocent. If anything, it appeared someone was trying to frame him.
’If it’s him, then making it look like a suicide was plausible,’Heaven told herself, getting herself immersed in the original Heaven’s death. ’However, Heaven was strangled to death. If I didn’t wake up that day, the autopsy would reveal her cause of death. If that happened, the first person the authorities would point their fingers at was... him.’
Heaven narrowed her eyes, thinking deeper about the case. It was not that Heaven was unbothered by the original Heaven’s death. To be fair, it had always been at the back of her head, despite what was going on. It was the very reason she was working out to be physically fit, and also the other reason she agreed to have a bodyguard.
Now that she was having leads, her concern about this matter consistently shot up.
Everyone on her suspect list had reasons to kill her. However, all of them had no reason to drag Dominic down. Even if Dominic would prove himself innocent, his reputation would take a disastrous blow if he became a suspect in a murder.
