Fallen General's Omega (BL)

Chapter 205: Behave

While Thorne speaks to Roman, my curiosity gets the better of me. I subtly lean to the side, peering over Roman’s shoulder to see just who has managed to ruffle the normally composed sentinel.

What I see makes me freeze for a moment. A familiar head of dark hair peeks out from the disheveled sheets on the bed. Felix.

He notices me almost immediately, his sharp gaze locking onto mine for a split second before he quickly looks away, his face tinged with embarrassment—or maybe annoyance at being caught. I have to fight the urge to laugh out loud.

Well, this is unexpected.

I genuinely didn’t think Felix was interested in anything but his poisons. The man has always been an enigma, more focused on his vials and concoctions than on any sort of human connection. But I suppose even he is an omega with needs.

Still, Roman? Of all people? The steadfast, unflappable sentinel and Felix, the aloof, borderline reclusive poison expert. What an unlikely pair. Yet, the more I think about it, the more it oddly makes sense. Roman’s calm demeanor could balance Felix’s intensity, while Felix’s sharp wit could challenge Roman’s stoicism.

I glance between them again, watching as Roman nods seriously to Thorne’s instructions, completely unbothered by his current... situation. Felix, on the other hand, is practically trying to melt into the sheets, his usual confidence visibly shaken.

I press my lips together, suppressing a chuckle. It’s almost endearing.

Well, good for them, I think, turning back to Thorne as he finishes up. Some secrets are worth holding onto, and this one? I’m definitely keeping it to myself—for now.

"Did you know it’s Felix in there?" I whisper sharply once we’re out of earshot.

"Oh, yeah," Thorne says, completely nonchalant.
