Fallen General's Omega (BL)

Chapter 204: Gossip

"I think otherwise. I think she was brave for leaving behind everything she’d ever known to raise me on her own," I say firmly, my voice steady, but my anger simmering just beneath the surface.

Veyron scoffs, an arrogant smirk pulling at his lips. "Please, it was a foolish decision. Mirelle was always the dreamer, talking about love and mates, clinging to fairytales. So naive. All I had to do was say a couple of sweet words, and she believed me—"

"Stop," I snap, cutting him off. My fists clench at my sides as my heart races with barely contained fury.

He pauses, his smirk faltering slightly. "Look, I—"

"Leave," I interrupt, my voice sharp and final. The air around us seems to still, thick with tension.

"Sorry, I shouldn’t have—"

"I said leave," I repeat, my tone laced with a warning. My eyes lock onto his, daring him to continue.

For a moment, he stands there, his pride bruised. Then, with a shallow shrug, he raises his hands in mock surrender and turns to walk away. The sight of his smug demeanor is like fuel to the fire burning in my chest.

As he steps forward, I channel my will, and a small incoscipius vine bursts from the ground, snaking toward his ankle and tripping him. He stumbles and falls ungracefully onto the stone path. The sound of his body hitting the ground is deeply satisfying, and I make no move to help him.
