Chapter 47: She Had No Reason To Lie
Fan Zhengyue looked at Xu Xiang silently after hearing Xu Xiang’s words. Regardless of what Fan Zhengyue was thinking now, Xu Xiang carried Xiao Jing on her back and asked, "Can you walk by yourself?"
After waiting for a long time without getting an answer, she turned around and found that Fan Zhengyue looked at her strangely. Xu Xiang raised an eyebrow at Fan Zhengyue, waiting for her to speak. But after waiting for another two minutes, Fan Zhengyue was still sitting on the dusty ground, looking at her without saying a word.
Xu Xiang looked up at the moon for a second and said, "If you want to stay here, then do as you wish."
After finishing speaking, she walked back to the cave with Xiao Jing on her back, leaving Fan Zhengyue behind. Fan Zhengyue stood up when she couldn’t see Xu Xiang anymore. Standing where she was, she calmly looked at the dead men.
A second later, she burst out laughing and screaming. Tears welled up in her eyes, as she looked at the direction Xu Xiang had just left with hatred in her eyes. She grabbed her tattered clothes tightly until her fingers turned white, and shouted frantically.
"Ah!! It’s a good thing you came before anything happened?! It’s all your fault... Yes... It’s all your fault! You should have come earlier! Ah!!"
After yelling and screaming for a while, she took a deep breath. With an expressionless face, she began to tidy up her clothes and wipe the tears from her swollen face. Taking a few deep breaths, she calmly walked back to the cave. She staggered as she walked, but her back was straight.
When Xu Xiang came back with Xiao Jing on her back, everyone was surprised. While calling Xiao Jing’s name, Wen Wan rushed forward anxiously.
"Jing’er, Jing’er! What’s wrong with you? Open your eyes. Don’t scare Mother." She said while busy checking on her daughter.
