Chapter 30: Can I Save Him?
Hearing Xiao Shao’s answer, Xu Xiang smiled and agreed with him. The two spent their time chatting while eating snacks, before Xiao Shao noticed a group of people not far ahead. He motioned to Xiao Han, who was driving the sleigh behind, to stop.
The two stayed on the mule cart, looked at those people for a while, and then he said, "You stay here. I’ll go and have a look."
Before he jumped off the driver’s seat, Xu Xiang tugged at his sleeve to stop him and said, "Wait."
Xiao Shao glanced at Xu Xiang, but didn’t speak. Because she asked him to wait, he didn’t go down and sat there. Behind him, Xu Xiang narrowed her eyes and observed those people carefully.
After a while, she said, "One of them was seriously injured. Looking at the wound, it should be injured by a sharp weapon such as a sword."
Xiao Shao took a careful look at her and asked, "How do you know about it?"
She looked at him and calmly said, "I saw it."
Surprised by her answer, he looked at those people again. From where he was sitting, it was impossible to even see the injured person, let alone determine the cause of the wounds. Turning his eyes back to her calm face, he stared at her, lost in his thoughts.
Ignoring his probing eyes, she said, "I’ll go and have a look."
