Chapter 419: Pupitar

"Can someone give me a ride?"

As Lin Feng approached, all the Pidgeots perched in the tree turned their attention toward him. They weren't as vigilant as usual, but the moment they heard his request, they immediately rushed down from the branches.

"Alright, alright. The fastest one gets the job."

With so many Pidgeots under his care, Lin Feng naturally didn't want them competing over everything. He simply pointed at the one that had reached him first.

The others saw this and quietly flew back to their places in the towering pine tree without complaint.

"Meowscarada, you'll have to return to your Poké Ball first."

A Pidgeot couldn't comfortably carry both him and Meowscarada at the same time.

But Meowscarada seemed to have its own idea.

[Meow] (I can shrink)

"Uh... but if you shrink, you won't be able to come out afterward, right?"

There would definitely be people where they were going. Once shrunk down, Meowscarada couldn't casually appear in public.

[Meow~] (Then I'll just eat two of them, won't I?)

Meowscarada crossed its arms confidently, clearly having thought everything through.

Lin Feng: "???"

"When did you get so smart?"

He rubbed his forehead helplessly before taking out two Pokéblocks.

"Fine."

( ̄▽ ̄): "Meow-ha~"

After watching Meowscarada eat the Pokéblocks and shrink down, Lin Feng picked it up and jumped onto Pidgeot's back before soaring into the sky.

Truthfully, he didn't mind carrying Meowscarada at all.

The problem was that after evolving, it had become far too large for him to comfortably hold. Now that it was willing to shrink itself, things were much easier.

Even while flying, Lin Feng couldn't resist gently rubbing its paw pads.

"So clever. Who taught you that?"

[Meow?]

[Meow...]

Meowscarada lay comfortably in his arms and stretched lazily.

Did someone need to teach that?

Wasn't it obvious?

Changsha City, Happiness Town

As usual, Su Luoluo prepared Pokéblocks for her Delphox before pouring a mixture of mineral supplements and Moomoo Milk into a bowl for Larvitar.

"Larvi..."

The little Larvitar, with the horn on its head, waddled over to its food bowl and immediately began devouring its breakfast.

After finishing, it let out a satisfied burp, rubbed its belly, and flashed its Trainer a goofy, happy smile.

Su Luoluo was just about to smile back when a brilliant white light suddenly erupted from Larvitar's body.

The light expanded rapidly.

Within the glow, its body stretched and transformed, much like a Bug-type Pokémon spinning a cocoon around itself.

Its shape became longer and rounder. Two dark openings appeared near its upper body, while sharp rocky protrusions emerged all over its surface.

When the white light finally faded, its original brown body had become a pale blue shell.

Su Luoluo froze for a moment before breaking into a radiant smile.

"Haha! Larvitar, you evolved?!"

"Pupi..."

A pair of bright eyes appeared within the dark openings.

Feeling the changes in its body, the newly evolved Pupitar gently swayed from side to side, responding to its Trainer's excitement.

"That's amazing, Pupitar! Now we only have to deliver Lin Feng's Happiness Pokémon. Once that's done, we can finally start our journey!"

Su Luoluo happily wrapped her arms around Pupitar, intending to lift it into the air.

Unfortunately, after trying, she discovered that the already-heavy Larvitar had become even heavier after evolving.

Being relatively petite herself, she couldn't lift it at all.

Truthfully, she should have started her Trainer journey quite a while ago.

The only reason she had stayed home this long was because Larvitar hadn't evolved yet.

Its diet depended heavily on the Moomoo Milk supplied by Lin Feng's ranch. If she traveled too far, even Lin Feng's Pidgeots would have trouble delivering it regularly.

Rather than deal with that inconvenience, she'd chosen to wait until Larvitar evolved.

That had been her plan from the beginning.

Unable to lift Pupitar, she gave up and pulled out her phone instead.

Her smile widened.

"Hehe, Lin Feng said he's coming to pick up Happiny today~"

Calling over Pupitar and Delphox, she headed toward the back of the yard to check on this year's Happiness Pokémon.

Just then, the cry of a Pidgeot echoed from the sky.

Instinctively, she looked up.

The massive bird gradually descended before landing outside the front gate.

The first to jump down wasn't Lin Feng.

It was Meowscarada.

Already growing larger during the flight, it landed lightly in the yard and began curiously looking around.

Unlike Pokémon that traveled frequently, most of Lin Feng's Pokémon spent nearly all their time at home.

Aside from Pidgeot and Gardevoir, their world mostly consisted of Wutong Town, Wutong Forest, and the surrounding fields.

As a result, whenever they ventured somewhere new, everything felt fascinating.

That was one of the reasons Lin Feng had brought Meowscarada along.

Pokémon that loved exploring deserved opportunities to see the world.

A moment later, Lin Feng landed as well.

He recalled Pidgeot and looked through the fence gate into the yard.

His eyes lit up.

Su Luoluo happened to be there.

"Hey~?"

"Hey! Hey!"

By the time Pidgeot landed, Su Luoluo had already realized it was Lin Feng.

But what truly captured her attention was Meowscarada.

Accompanied by Delphox and Pupitar, she hurried over and opened the gate.

The moment she did, her eyes locked onto Meowscarada.

They sparkled with excitement.

For Trainers, curiosity and discovery were irresistible.

Meeting a Pokémon they had never seen before always filled them with excitement.

"Meowscarada? Is this the Meowscarada from the first tournament?"

[Meow-ha?]

Seeing the girl lean close to inspect its face, then noticing the Delphox standing behind her, Meowscarada became curious as well.

This was the first Trainer besides Lin Feng it had ever met up close.

"Yes, that's the one."

Lin Feng nodded.

"Wow! You mean the Meowscarada that evolved shortly after birth and even defeated a Lucario?"

Su Luoluo's eyes widened as she circled around Meowscarada.

She had long been a loyal follower of Lin Feng's online account and was a Trainer herself.

When she'd watched Meowscarada appear on the Horizon League battlefield, she'd been completely stunned.

She could hardly believe that a Pokémon that was practically still a baby had been competing at that level.

Lin Feng nodded again.

"You're incredible, Meowscarada!"

the girl exclaimed excitedly.

[Meow-ha?]

(✿◡‿◡)

[Meow-ha~]

Although Meowscarada tried to maintain a calm expression, its paw slowly lifted on its own.

It's nothing, really.

It's all thanks to Trainer.
