Chapter 35: Drawn to power
Harkon stepped forward, his steps confident and assured as he walked into the small formation. Immediately, light flashed around him and a figure began to take shape around him. It was a massive creature with two legs and two wings.
A Wyvern.
Everyone sucked in a sharp breath as they saw it. Although the creature wasn’t in its natural form, they could feel its power as it stood beside Harkon, wings spread around him.
Whispers began again, but none was more pleased than Drenvar who sat on his throne, or more displeased than Duke Frexon.
Vacuse took note of their expressions since they were both his enemies.
Duke Frexon didn’t want to see the Vorrakyn more powerful than they were. It would be a bit troublesome to displace them later on.
Drenvar was glad that more elite were showing in his family and different plans were already flashing in his mind.
"Step forward!"
Harkon did. He placed his hand on the orb and the man shouted, "Rank B!"
Drenvar sighed.
Although Rank A and B are still Wyvern, the difference in their strength was significantly different. But it is still considered elite and Harkon would have sufficient power and influence in the family if he played his card right.
