Spider-Woman’s First Month Back
Spiderman alarm clock: "(Repeat) It's time to swing into gear. HIGHYA!"
Lazily webbing the off button on her alarm clock, Penny tries to go back to sleep, only for Aunt May to barge into her room five minutes later and wake her niece up and get her ready for the day as Penny tries her best to pretend that she didn't notice some strange man trying to sneak down the stairs.
Penny: "(Yawns) Alright, I'm up. (Yawns once more) I'm up."
Aunt May: "Well okay, sweetie, just remember that even without school I don't expect you to stay inside."
Penny: "But why though!? (Throws hands on her blanket) Almost everyone seems to be able to live however they want, but why not me!?"
Aunt May: "Oh sweetie (sits down on the bed and hugs Penny as she rubs her back and then arm), I would love for you to stay inside, but anytime I've brought home my dates or even talked to you about possibly bringing over someone I might like, you get... possessive."
Penny just pouts, as she knows for a fact that she'd try and ruin whatever they might have had going on, along with just in general trying to ruin everything about what might be a date, as she's done it for almost every guy she's brought over.
Having nothing else to say, Aunt May drops off Penny's clean clothes, gives Penny a kiss on the forehead, and heads out the door and closes it for both the privacy of her niece and also because the man she was with had just walked back up the stairs.
Aunt May: "(Loudly whispers) What are you doing here!?"
??? Man: "(Loudly whispers back) I can't find my ID card."
Aunt May: "(Loudly whispers) Well, I don't know where it can possibly be."
??? Man: "(Loudly whispers back but is silent for a solid minute) I think you and I both know that's a bold-faced lie."
And it was at that point that Penny stopped listening, as she could hear the writing on the walls and didn't want to hear what her aunt was doing behind closed doors, and began looking through her Web-site.
That's what she called it, or whoever owned the website, as it was a place that was entirely made for any and all things that involved her alter ego, Spider-Woman, and while she hated most of the website, as it was just full of people either hating her or lusting after her, the reported crimes tab was the best place to get information.
Penny: "(Heavily sighs) If only I could get these little spider bots to work, then I'd never need to even look at this, let alone hopefully touch it again."
Quickly looking through the crimes, Penny eventually found and managed to decipher the article. She grabbed her suit from the clean piles of clothes that she had accidentally put in one time, and either Aunt May was letting it slide, or she thought she was seeing someone who was super into Spider-Woman based on the talks she was forced to be part of.
After putting on her suit, Penny looked at her spiderweb gadgets and wondered if she should wear them anymore since she's got her powers back. She wonders if she should still wear them or not, but after a couple minutes of contemplation, she grabs them with her webs and storms through the front door.
Penny/Spider-Woman: "I'm heading out; hopefully by the time I get back the man in the suit will be gone by then!"
After two hours of waiting, both Aunt May and the strange man fall through Aunt May's bedroom door as they both wonder just how Penny knew they were both still there.
Meanwhile, Penny was swinging through the city as she smiled behind her mask, as she couldn't help but enjoy her brand-new suit, as she took some inspiration from her former friend as a way of remembering him, as even though she no longer wanted anything to do with him, she still missed him and all the time they spent together.
(This but imagine it looking more feminine)
As she swings through the city, she grabs a sandwich from one of the people she's helped as thanks for her help, and telling him to help others, she leaves a free sandwich out for anyone to take just in case she passes by or just anyone that needs a free sandwich from one of the orders that never showed up.
Spider-Woman: "Hmm, pastrami on rye with mustard, ketchup, and mayo and what appears to be five different cheese slices... nice!"
Stopping by a nearby building where she knows groups of people leave their blinds open and TVs on that let her peer in and see something for as long as it takes her to finish her free sandwich with some water from the cooler that was left on top.
Spider-Woman: "I know people did this when I first started out, but I honestly think more people have begun filling up coolers and just leaving them all over the place ever since I began my superhero journey."
While Penny ate, she got a call from Tony Stark, which was obviously not him and possibly someone else pretending to be him, as it sounded too weird, but whatever the case, it was just a call letting her know that next week was the finalization of her admission before officially becoming an Avenger.
Spider-Woman: "(Licks the tips of her fingers as she expertly throws her empty can of Maxiclass Lime Twist) Well, that was a good breakfast/lunch, but now it's time to go save some lives."
Slowly stepping off the edge of the building, Penny starts free-falling as she takes a look around her to see that nothing's really changed before she swings into action as she almost becomes a giant pancake on the street.
Spider-Woman: "Ah, nothing makes me feel more alive than swinging around the city! I mean, it's certainly the only way to travel!"
Webbing the side of a building Spider-Woman quickly turns around and quickly changes directions as she then webs to the sides of a building and launches straight through a hole in some beast someone called Kraven was attacking.
Apparently, the man was called the world's greatest hunter and was known to show off his prizes from his multiple hunts throughout his family's life, and the sign was advertising that he was going to teach others how to hunt just like him.
But that wasn't important for now or possibly ever since Penny has no desire to hunt anything; she's probably never going to interact with Kraven in any way other than maybe accidentally meeting him as either her normal self or her superhero persona.
While swinging through the city, Spider-Woman finally arrived where the crime was supposedly taking place, and it didn't take too long before her spidey sense started going crazy, and after a couple seconds of looking around, she found out these idiots faked the crime as a way of getting any super with a secret identity's attention so they could knock them out and get a picture of their identity.
Spider-Woman: "Why the heck do people try and make it rich by destroying other people's lives?"
Spider-Woman just sighed as she called the local police, as these were the twentieth pair of idiots she's met since her time as a hero that have tried doing something like this and have possibly caused more than enough damage to poor innocent people on their quest to make millions.
Swinging around the building, Spider-Woman eventually finds one window that doesn't alert her spidysense, and sneaking her way inside, Spider-Woman immediately meets someone who was going to alert everyone from a giant crack in the wall.
Quickly equipping her impact webs, she blasts the man straight into the wall behind him, and while this did silence him, it's obviously alerted everyone else to her presence as her spidysense began blaring up once again.
Lifting up the top part of her outfit, Spider-Woman reveals that she has possibly white skin and something else white, but more importantly, she reveals her utility belt as it dispenses a ton of tiny web-blasting balls, and she just begins throwing them around as they web up the room.
Walking through the place Spider-Woman wondered just what the heck was wrong with these people as she knocked down about five doors and revealed that about twenty people were trapped in every single locked room.
Seeing just how many people they've probably kidnapped over however long they've been operating, with a few of them being some people that Spider-Woman recognized, as some of them were people she's helped in the past or they were people that have been missing for quite a long time.
Big black man in a giant black cloak: "Thank you for helping us."
White woman with blond hair and, for some reason, a white tank top, boots, and jeans: "Yeah, without you we wouldn't have been able to meet each other."
The two grasp hands with one another and launch everyone around them into the walls as a dark void erupts beneath the two as they get sucked into the darkness along with many other things, almost as if one of them summoned a black hole.
While everyone and everything was getting sucked in, Spider-Woman began jumping around the place as she tried her best to not get sucked in as well as shooting her webs at anyone that was getting too close to the void.
When the black hole finally closed, there was a giant hole in the apartment building that seemed to have taken a giant sphere-sized chunk of the building with wherever the two vanished, while Spider-Woman quickly made her way out of the place as the police burst down the door shortly after.
In the distance Spider-Woman watched it all happen and wondered what the heck just happened before swinging off into the distance as she heard some police sirens go off, and from the sounds of destruction she could hear from where she was, she already knew it was most likely Rhino.
Swinging over Spider-Woman was right on the money, as the Rhino was going ballistic again, meaning the feral parts of the man had gained control of him once more as he tried to destroy anything and everything in his path.
Rhino: "WHERE! IS! SPIDER-WOMAN!"
Grabbing a car, he throws it right above Spider-Woman with some poor people still inside, and before it could crash into something, Spider-Woman webs and pulls it close to her as she brings it down to the ground floor, with everyone inside quickly running out.
Spider-Woman: "Hey big boy! I thought we talked about this! You get help, fight off everything on your own, and then maybe if you've been a good boy, I'll show you a world of hurt!"
Spider-Woman charges at Rhino, who just smiles and charges right back at her, only for Spider-Woman to slide between his legs after she webs him first and loops around him, forcing him to eat the concrete as she begins webbing him down, which doesn't work as he roars and charges at Spider-Woman once more.
Quickly looking around, Spider-Woman Jedi flips over Rhino as he crashes through some cars that Spider-Woman had placed some tripwire webs on that quickly launch the cars into Rhino, who somehow blows up even if they weren't that broken from Rhino and the trip mines weren't that fast or powerful.
This doesn't even place a scratch on Rhino, as he was still ready to rumble, but after a large bullet sound echoes throughout the streets, Punisher walks over Rhino's body and unloads his bullet casing on the Rhino's face.
Punisher: "Don't worry, he's not dead yet. (Begins one-handedly carrying his two-handed rifle as it rests on his shoulder.)"
Punisher pulls out his pistol, but before he could use it, Rhino wakes up and grabs the Punisher as he throws him right into Spider-Woman and roars as he stomps away from the two as Punisher tries to take Rhino down for good this time while Spider-Woman tries her best to stop him.
Hearing the sirens blaring, Punisher grabs Spider-Woman by the head and throws her directly into a car hard enough to dent the car as well as force Spider-Woman to be wedged inside it as he stomps his foot near a manhole cover and launches it up.
Punisher: "(Talks as seriously and straight as he possibly can) Cowabunga."
Jumping into the sewers, the manhole cover lands back where it was just launched from and looks like nothing had happened as the police arrive and help pry Spider-Woman from the car.
Spider-Woman: "Thanks, guys, I needed that."
Patting the boys in blue on the back and giving them her autograph, Spider-Woman swings away as she heads into her intern job at the Daily Bugle, where J. Jonah Jameson was giving his monthly incentives to all the interns to stay and work for the Bugle.
Which wasn't much—other than maybe a hundred if you were in the top three—but for someone like Penny, who was constantly dead last from all the times she had to vanish in order to save the world, she just barely managed to make the cut to get paid at all.
Contrary to how he appears to everyone else or to her own alter ego, J. Jonah Jameson was a really kind guy who only wanted the world to know the truth, as apparently, if the rumors were to be believed, his dead wife was killed by some scum that would have never seen the light of day before he took her life if they had just found out about his connections sooner from the only person who knew his past and managed to live.
Of course, no one really knew if that was true or not, but it was very well known around the office that J. Jonah Jameson wears a wedding ring and yet doesn't currently have any significant other, as the only picture on his desk is that of him and his son.
J. Jonah Jameson: "Alright, interns, I'm giving you all the week off since most of the stories are dried up more than our funding, as nothing really interesting is happening, or at least nothing that you interns can do. So enjoy yourselves, and I hope to see you all next Monday. Oh, also, if you happen to get any feel-good stories, let me know, as that's the only thing any of you get to work on till everything's back to normal."
Essentially being out of the job and not having anyone else to fight, as, besides Rhino and some very minor cases, the city was shockingly quiet for once as she was slowly healing from the symbiote wars that took many people from us and also damaged the city more than any other threat it's faced.
Walking through her front door, Penny completely ignored the man trying his best to hide like a cartoon lamp and pretended not to see her Aunt May in her robe, which Penny just had to hope and pray had something decent underneath.
Flopping on her bed Penny just sighs, as it was once again a boring day, and you'd think from how much she's been asking for it, Penny would enjoy these slow and quiet days, but without any real free friends, the city feels more like a prison than the once lively home she loved.
Slapping her face together, Penny brushes off her dark thoughts and begins working on upgrades for her many different webs, suits, and even potentially a motorcycle she managed to find that had been used by both Hydra and AIM in the past.
Penny: "Maybe now I can get my own pair of wheels instead of begging Aunt May for the keys to her car (cranks up her radio as far as she can the second she hears something fall from downstairs)."
And that is all for now hope you all enjoyed and until next time stay safe and peace!
