Symbiote Wars Part 17
Walking straight through the belly of the beast, Jake can't help but be pissed, as he's made little to no progress for a solid week now, and it was all because the survivors he was taking with him had barely any stamina in their husky bodies.
Which is understandable, but that's just barely, as Jake just can't understand why they need a break every five freaking minutes on the dot, and no matter what Jake said or tried, they'd just pass out, panting harder than they should have been.
Thankfully, to the ever-so-merciful gods, Jake had finally managed to make it to the end of the stomach, where nothing seemed to exist, as in there was a literal abyss beyond him that had tentacles and sounds of monsters constantly fighting deep inside.
Honestly, Jake didn't really want anything to do with it, as he'd rather not deal with whatever the heck could be deep inside this beast, especially if there was a reason for the creatures to still exist inside the beast-man thing.
However, Loki or some other evil god must have been messing with Jake, as no entrance or exit could be found other than the giant hole.
Jake: "Well, unless any of you want to follow me deep inside this hole, then I think it's time to say goodbye."
Without waiting for any of their responses, Jake runs straight into the hole with a smile on his face at the idea of not having to deal with them anymore, even if it means having to face unimaginable horrors.
Husky man 1: "Do you think we should have told him 'bout the hidden hole?"
Husky man 2: "(sniffs his nose as he hacks a loogie into the hole) Nah, see the way he looks at us? Man deserves the fate he chose for 'em self with out asking us first."
The rest of the husky people soon parted ways from the giant hole as they went about to deal with their own miserable lives as they either waited to die or found something they could consider food and live just one more miserable day.
As they all walk away, only one person remains, and it was the old, husk-looking woman who sounded like a man, who just stared off into the abyss that was the hole and wondered if she should join Jake or not, and after twenty minutes of contemplation, she jumps down the hole.
Husky man 1: "Nuther one 'ites the dust."
Meanwhile, Jake is still falling through the hole and sees nothing but darkness all around him as the feeling of falling slowly morphs into the feeling of drowning in a pure black, sludgy lagoon as everything becomes harder to see and breathing feels almost impossible.
But Jake persists and uses his thrusters to continue moving on as he blasts through everything and feels something clamp onto him as he keeps going... somewhere? In a direction that for a long time doesn't seem to have any breaks until he comes to a crash landing right into something.
Shaking himself awake Jake still notices that everything was completely dark and devoid of anything. Instinctively, Jake reaches out and grabs hold of something that feels loose, flappy, and soft?
Suddenly Jake felt something strike at him, and Jake got ready to fight off whatever had struck him, but since he couldn't see or hear anything, he just stood in pure silence, not moving a single inch as he waited for whatever hit him to move.
However, let's go back in time just a bit to see what had really happened. As the husky, old-looking lady fell into the impossible hole, Jake suddenly appeared and brought her along for the ride as they kept going up, up, and away!
As far as he could possibly go until they rammed straight into something that looked to be fleshy doors for some kind of elevator, stepping inside the little area, the woman was very surprised by the tentacle tongue thing that fell from the ceiling of something.
Rushing to Jake, the strange man, in her eyes, she couldn't believe what she saw as the man was drenched in darkness as black ooze dripped and dribbled from his entire body, with his eyes being devoid of any sense of light as they were darker than the night sky and emptier than her belly.
The husk of a woman rushes over to Jake in order to help him out but suddenly stops once he grabs whatever chest she still had, and out of base instinct she slaps him across the face as hard as she could and immediately regrets it.
She regretted it for two reasons: one was he had no idea where he probably was, and the other was, of course, because an entire armada's worth of weapons suddenly appeared all around her as Jake slowly got up and stayed put, causing her great fear as she couldn't understand what was going through his head.
As both of them just stand there waiting for the other to make the first move, eventually, however, Jake receded his weapons and tried to say something, only for nothing to come out of his mouth as he almost walked off the edge of their little platform.
Back to Jake's POV, he just said screw it and tried to walk away and figure out where the heck he currently was, as it had to be somewhere he could bang his head into, considering that's the only reason he stopped.
Turning around, Jake tries to figure out what the heck was happening, and then suddenly he felt very sick, very weak, and very, very cold as he fell on the ground and shivered as the dark matter started pouring out of every part of his body.
While Jake was vomiting and leaking all the darkness from his body, the husky, womanly man fell backwards and slowly crept away from the growing black pool as she saw what was going on with the mysterious man and was afraid of what it might have done to her.
For an entire hour, Jake shivered like it was winter and just couldn't stop, no matter how warm he should have been or how hard the husk woman had hugged him in the hopes of warming him up and getting him back to normal.
Ekaj: "(Appears the same size as a minifigure) Well, this is a bit of a bummer."
Jake: "(Eyes squinting at Ekaj) Wha- What.... happened to you?"
Jake just barely manages to say as he shivers like a chihuahua and tries to reach out for Ekaj, who just slowly walks over to the dark sludge that slowly fell down the sides of the cliff.
Ekaj: "Whatever this thing is seems to have absorbed my entire being. Thankfully, you and I are imprinted down to your very cells; otherwise, I'd be completely gone, and you'd probably be dead."
Jake flips over and starts crawling towards the black goo only to be stopped by the husk woman, who was now stronger than Jake, as just her light grab on his pants leg was somehow enough to keep him in place.
Ekaj: "Yeah, I don't know what the heck you're planning, but we're probably not getting the rest of me back. Also, it seems to have turned me into energy, as before everything got cut off, I felt like I was getting turned into a liquid of some kind."
Jake: "(Flips back over to the husk woman) Pa- please... (extends hand towards the husk woman) help me..."
The husk woman helped him up and began following his lead as they walked towards the fleshy elevator, and once they were inside, the tentacle tongue wrapped around all of them and started dragging them up towards the top.
It was going so damn high and far that both Jake and the husk woman wondered just how tall and far they were going and wondered if this thing would bring them right to the top of this beast, and if not the head, just where the heck were they going?
After twelve hours they finally reached the top of wherever the tentacle tongue had taken them, and without warning the tongue suddenly threw them right inside the long, pink, veiny-looking room that had nothing but a single sphere connected to some cone-triangle columns at the top and bottom.
Walking towards the giant sphere, two columns start slowly rising from the sides of the sphere as the sphere begins spinning a bit till it starts looking more like an egg than a sphere, and when the sphere and the columns stopped moving, the egg sphere suddenly began spinning impossibly fast as some string thing from the sphere started falling onto the columns, almost looking like two knitting needles.
When the egg sphere finally stopped spinning, a lesser but still giant orb that looked to be an egg yolk with a man inside slowly began descending from its web hammock towards the pair as the entire room began shifting and moving, somewhat forcing them closer than they would have liked to the egg yolk.
The very second the room stopped moving, it looked to be a dingy apartment as the egg yolk broke open and quickly transformed into a yellow suit with a black shirt, tie, gloves, shoes, and pocket square as the figure shook its head left and right.
Doing this revealed the figure had no real face, as the first thing that came out was longish, dirty-blond hair that went up to where its nose would be, and once its hair was done, a nose and lips suddenly popped out of its face, while its eyes and ears twisted, shifted, and swirled into form.
???: "(Clears his throat as it shifts between different voices and accents until it settles for a cartoon used car salesman voice) Welcome to my home, you lucky dogs, you. As you get to see the very center of my work."
Jake: "(Pants) And... what might that be?"
???: "Well, you see, I have been tasked with completely eradicating every undesirable around, and as you have seen, these pathetic ingrates can't even work the most basic of tasks. They constantly fail and find some way of messing up when I so kindly ask them to die so I can turn them into more symbiotes for our kind."
Suddenly yellow claws stab at both Jake and the husky lady, but she seemed to know what was about to happen and just barely managed to dodge the second pair of yellow claws that tried to attack her as Jake coughed up blood right in front of the yellow creature.
Yellow Creature: "Ah, I truly do love getting rid of the filth that are normal people. I mean, what do they really have to gain by living another day? Going to their favorite store, maybe chatting with some friends, till an accident takes their life. It's far better to give their lives for the entire superior race they will be helping to create."
The Yellow Creature gently strokes Jake's face with perverse glee at his own work and starts walking towards the husk woman, without any care for whatever Jake could possibly be doing, as the Yellow Creature smiled like a demon.
Meanwhile, the husk woman tried her best to keep dodging the sudden attacks from all around her, which, of course, didn't work that well, and it very quickly became evident it was essentially playing with its food.
The husk woman falls to the ground, tears in her eyes, as she's been cut enough times that she could no longer stand from the pain, hunger, blood loss, and possibly other afflictions, all of which seemed to greatly anger the Yellow Creature.
Yellow Creature: "Well, this is boring."
With a wave of its hand, the Yellow Creature tries to attack the husk woman only to be met with the firm, bloody hand of Jake, who could barely stand and was leaking a trail of blood from where he was hanged.
Jake: "(Gasps and pants as his vision goes dark) Time... to take back... the... night....."
As Jake talked, the Yellow Creature screamed and seemed to actually panic at the appearance of Jake, and for the first time in their entire short encounter, he seemed genuinely afraid of something, or rather, he seemed to be scared of Jake.
Yellow Creature: "(Starts talking like Shaggy) Hey man, there's no need to continue this. I mean, we're on the same side, right? (A bead of sweat rolls down its face and continues flowing all the way down Jake's hand, seeming to burn his flesh a bit, till it finally drops onto the floor.) Let's just, like, take things easy and talk this out."
But Jake didn't have time to listen, as he couldn't really hear a single word other than "man, side, and take," as well as the feeling of pain on his arm. So, thinking it was an attack, and because he lost feeling in his legs, Jake ripped the giant glowing yellow heart from the Yellow Creature's body.
The yellow creature quickly began screaming in a high-pitched tone and repeating, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" As its voice distorts between every vocal range, the entire place quickly begins to melt and fall apart while the Yellow Creature, or whatever remained of it, tries its best to stay solid enough to grab its heart.
But before it could, a tiny white tendril appeared from Jake's blood-red fingertips and pierced into the glowing yellow heart as the middle one wiggled left and right for a bit before joining up with the others.
As this was happening, the husk lady seemed to regain some life and seemed to de-age enough to where you could actually tell she was female instead of her looking like an ancient grandpa like everyone else inside the pit.
Formerly Husk Woman: "(Sighs) You better repay me for saving your life."
Grabbing Jake, who just finished consuming all the color from the heart and leaving just a giant rotten core that was slowly melting like everything else in the place, the formerly husked woman kicked down the door and pulled on the tentacle tongue and started falling all the way down.
As they traveled, the husk woman could tell they hadn't gone that far, as it was only two floors down from where she and Jake spent way too long going up, signaling this place could mess with others perception.
Now not knowing who she could trust, the formerly husky woman started carrying Jake like a backpack instead of with one hand, as she thought it should make things easier from here on out as she pulled the tongue tentacle thing and jammed it right into the floor before the pit and jumped straight inside.
Formerly Husk Woman: "I swear if we come out of this thing's rear, you owe me triple!"
And that is all for now hope you all enjoyed and until next time stay safe and peace!
