Fractures of Eternity

Chapter 138: A Moment of Affection for a Goddess

This vampire was lucky my tummy was rumbling.

“Right…” I mumbled, grabbing the fork from the box he had given me.

Feathers were scattered around my part of the room, thanks to our lovemaking. However, the blood on the sheets was what was most eye-catching, since there wasn’t any trace of blood on me or any wound of any kind. However, there were plenty of renewed kiss marks on my thighs.

“Eat, I’ll continue to pleasure you after.” Loki licked his lips, opening his box.

He was standing by the divider of our rooms, as I couldn’t help but shift my eyes to the Television in the room, which was on the wall by the desk Oswald loved to sit by. It was paper-thin, making it seem like it wasn’t there while it was off.

“Hmm… can we see a movie?” I asked.

“Hm? Even after receiving all those bites?” He coked his head, eyeing me down like he wasn’t done.

His eyes gave a soft shimmer, too, as I couldn’t help but shiver because of it.

“Well… No one said we had to finish it,” I grumbled, fiddling with my legs.

After all, his venom was in me, and although he holding me had lessened the burn, it was still present, ensuring the itch wasn’t quite quelled.

“So, only while we eat, got it, my princess. Come over to my bed then.” My vampire smirked, turning towards the device.

I was quick to hop onto his side of the room, as it was always fun to watch movies with him. It wasn’t long until he joined me in bed, where I ended up giggling when he pulled me into his arms as we ate. Much like I had previously said, we didn’t end up finishing the film when a flash of romance appeared on the screen, prompting me to turn towards my lover, who quickly made out with me.

Of course, it led to more as I found myself on the bed with him, filling me to the brim with him. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep in a warmth that I never wanted to let go of. The following morning, the news brought that Rem and Alijah had left, since the gates kept opening up on the world, leaving them the only ones who could deal with the dead gods that spawned out of them. Thanks to this, their relationship with my vampire appeared strained and unresolved.

Unlike before, the hybrid allowed Thea to stay behind this time, who wasn’t pleased to see Eli discolored when she came to see us. Once again, the city was in rebuilding mode, as most of the elves who went to the ball stayed to help rebuild the city. Though Lilith, Fenris, and their son, Aiden, had to return to Silverant, as their duties in the Cerberus organization called for their attention. Night city guards were reinforced, and, worse, Caden had stayed behind with his eldest daughter, Lola, who was a hybrid like Rem and his wife, Rosa, a human.

Tania was another storm I had to avoid in the coming days before the sword tournament, as she wasn’t going anywhere, especially with the traces of my coven lingering around the city.

Argh… I still can’t believe they’re going to do that stupid competition! This is all because of that silly vampire queen!

The entire thing was to have the winner married off to this female vampire she was choosing, or at least that was what Gerta said to me, which was something she could’ve only picked up from Asher. The poor king had tried to allow the princes to pick a noble girl of their choosing at the ball, but that went up in flames. Alistair hadn’t picked a female, and my vampire had eyes only for me. Fortunately, Andrea didn’t feel threatened by my relationship with Loki.

Probably thinks we’re a fling, much like Gerta and Asher try to appear like, but I see those glances between you two. They still love each other.

“Loki… Are you going to try and win it?” I asked, prompting the biggest frown to form on his lips.

“Fuck no. Argh… I don’t even want to go to the training.” He rolled his eyes.

“Lexi will look for you soon,” I mumbled from the bed, where he hadn’t let me move out of for the past few days.

“Screw it. I’m not going to answer her. The only one who had a leash on me is you, my love.” He assured me, leaning into my lips. “The only thing I need is you under me.”

Luckily, I got him to visit Oswald in the library on the days he wanted to play hooky, allowing me a slight breather from his love-making. While there, I tried to pick up any books related to the god of death, but there wasn’t anything about him, as these books were more commonly found in the elven lands than in the vampire regions. Of course, that didn’t stop my vampire from seeing me by a shelf, pouting before he quickly took my eyes off the book and onto himself.

“Ozzy stepped out, want to have some fun with me?” The unsatiable playful vampire asked, prompting my heart to race.

“We have to do something other than screwing like animals in heat!” I huffed, feeling my cheeks burn as his hands found their way up to my hips.

“I’m only like this for you.” He breathed as my eyes met with his, only for his lips to clash against mine quickly.

It wasn’t long until my underwear was hanging by my legs when he picked me up and made a mess of me within that library. My mind raced while trying to stay grounded when he kept filling me to the brim. Though it wasn’t long until one of his shoves caused one of the books behind me to fall, as he caught it before it hit the floor.

“Fuck…” He mumbled as I caught sight of the cover, which revealed it was about time witches.

I couldn’t help but giggle as his eyes quickly came back to me.

Hey… if I had never met you, I…

“Oi, don’t laugh, I was trying to be sneaky here.” He huffed.

“There’s no one here, stupid.” I rolled my eyes, prompting him to slam himself into me, triggering a whine to leave me.

“Hah… right, then why am I trying to hide?” Loki smirked, prompting me to scowl at him.

“Because your brother or anyone else can come in at any time!” I growled, as I had been trying to keep it down.

This library, although it was built for Oswald, was also used by everyone else in the castle at times, which meant we had been lucky that no one had come in.

“Oh, it won’t matter, as long as it’s me making you like this.” He purred, leaning my back against a table next to us.

“Then hurry and make me yours fully,” I smirked, triggering him to begin his trust as the table lightly creaked under my weight.

“Fuck, you’re always so tight in places we can get caught.” He breathed, not stopping his hips from bucking into me.

Feeling his member slide within me and kiss my womb, I couldn’t help but coil my legs around him, humming to each stroke of it.

Hah… Before all of this, all I ever desired was a place I could live in peace, now… It’s a place where I can live with you. Somewhere we won’t be hunted or judged by anyone.

“Loki,” I mewled, prompting him to lean into me and lock my lips with his.

It wasn’t long until he exploded within me, leaving me tightly coiled around him, while Eli remained by his neck. Even though our future was full of hurdles, I was determined to make that a reality. On the leading days to the tourney, Alistair’s headaches seemed to get worse, too, although the twins wrote it off as stress over the potential marriage after the event. Part of me wished to check him out with my magic, yet the rift hadn’t closed since Papa hadn’t sent any other updates since the last one, and when Oswald checked him, he noticed nothing wrong, which meant there was no magical influence over their older brother.

Perhaps it is all the stress of the crown, but… why do I feel like you look sicker each day?

Our queen problem was more challenging to solve, too, as she was extra wary of everything that had happened in Night City. She even left the city until the sword competition, which meant that it would be our only time to get rid of the snake.

If Papa hadn’t gone MIA because of the rift, I would’ve asked him to send Lilith after her, but sadly, that’s out of my hands, too. Argh… That makes me wonder how big it is.

Every day that passed brought the tournament closer, which left me feeling off about the whole thing. Loki seemed done with it, while Alistair appeared close to the breaking point. The poor older brother even closed himself off to everyone in the last days leading up to the event. Not even Lucas was allowed into his room, as I saw him standing by the door on multiple days.

Even though Loki didn’t want me to go near his brother, who seemed odd, I found myself standing in front of his room often, too, yet he didn’t open the door for anyone except Gerta, who brought him food alone.

Hah… Why… can’t I do anything to help you? Why won’t you let me in?

Although my days weren’t full of adventures, mostly filled with worries, time moved towards where fates would once again collide.
