Chapter 436: Then Do You Know Who I Am?
Cheng Yuan gazed at Lin Ruoxi, a warmth spreading through his chest. 'Is this what it feels like to be cared for?'
'This is true happiness!'
If they weren't surrounded by people, Cheng Yuan would have pounced on Lin Ruoxi and had his way with her right then and there.

After confirming Liu Qian's identity, a glint appeared in the kid's eyes. He clapped his companion on the shoulder and whispered, "Follow them. I'll be right back!"
With that, the kid in glasses bolted straight for the athletic field.
On the athletic field was a handsome, five-foot-eleven student with exceptional basketball skills.
The student's name was Du Jinlong, a rich kid from a wealthy family. His family's company, Du Pharmaceutical, had just secured a distribution contract from the Hu Family, making them a sub-distributor for Yuanxi Pharmaceutical.
Furthermore, Du Jinlong's paternal uncle, Du Jiagang, was the vice-president of Dongshan Medical University.
As a result, Du Jinlong was well-known at Dongshan Medical University and had his pick of any girl on campus.
In the past three years, he'd had at least twenty different girlfriends.
For the past two months, however, Du Jinlong hadn't been dating anyone. He had finally met a challenge he couldn't conquer.
Du Jinlong had signed up for an acting elective. Of course, he wasn't interested in acting—he just knew it was a class he could easily skip.
Two months ago, on a whim, Du Jinlong had actually gone to his acting class.
All the other girls in the class were caked in makeup and dressed flamboyantly. Only Liu Qian wore no makeup at all and was dressed plainly. She was a breath of fresh air.
Most importantly, even without a trace of makeup, Liu Qian effortlessly outshone the other girls, instantly capturing Du Jinlong's attention.
Du Jinlong had been aggressively pursuing her for two months, but she had rejected him every single time.
Instead of backing down, the rejections only made him more determined, and his pursuit grew even more intense.
'This was also why Liu Qian wanted to enter the talent show. If she left for a while, Du Jinlong would surely find a new girlfriend and stop pestering her, right?'
The kid in glasses spotted Du Jinlong dribbling skillfully on the court and yelled from a distance, "Brother Long! Bad news! Your girl is arm-in-arm with another guy!"
Du Jinlong froze mid-dribble. His hands tightened on the basketball, squeezing it so hard it groaned.
Du Jinlong snapped his head around and glared coldly at the kid. "Yang Wei, what did you just say? Whose arm is Liu Qian on?"
Yang Wei jumped in fright, instinctively lowering his head. "The guy looked unfamiliar," he mumbled. "Probably not from our department."
THWACK!
Du Jinlong slammed the basketball hard against the backboard. "I don't give a damn who he is!" he roared. "Touching my woman?! I'll fucking kill him!"
Du Jinlong's cronies whooped in agreement.
"What blind fool dares to make a move on your girl? Just say the word, Brother Long, and we'll go take care of him!"
Du Jinlong said coldly, "I've made it perfectly clear that Liu Qian is mine. For this punk to touch my woman… he's courting death! Yang Wei, where are they?"
"Xiaoliu is keeping an eye on them. Let me ask!"
Led by Yang Wei, Du Jinlong and his cronies appeared before Cheng Yuan and Liu Qian, radiating hostility.
Seeing Liu Qian smiling so brightly while clinging affectionately to Cheng Yuan's arm, Du Jinlong felt like his lungs were about to explode with rage.
Du Jinlong strode forward and glared at Cheng Yuan. "Punk, where the hell did you crawl out from? Don't you know Liu Qian is my woman? Let her go, now!"
Liu Qian was speechless. 'What rotten luck,' she thought. 'Why did I have to run into him?'
In the past, she would have taken a detour to avoid him. But today, with Cheng Yuan by her side, she wasn't the least bit afraid.
Liu Qian's voice was firm. "Du Jinlong, don't spout nonsense. I am not your woman! I'll be with whoever I want to be with! Stop pestering me!"
"You—!"
Du Jinlong's face twisted in anger. But he truly did like Liu Qian. He had even thought about changing his ways for her, giving up the entire forest for this one tree and loving only her from now on.
Du Jinlong had a surprising amount of patience when it came to Liu Qian. He couldn't take his anger out on her, but that didn't mean he would let Cheng Yuan off the hook.
Du Jinlong jabbed a finger at Cheng Yuan's face. "You dumbass piece of shit! Didn't you hear what I said? Let go of Liu Qian right now! Kneel and apologize to me! If you don't, you'll be carried out of here today!"
"Oh really? So tough. You're scaring me to death," Cheng Yuan said dryly.
Cheng Yuan, of course, had no intention of indulging Du Jinlong's temper. He reached out, grabbed the pointing finger, and gave it a light twist.
CRACK!
Du Jinlong's finger snapped.
"ARGH!"
Du Jinlong's face contorted in agony as he let out a scream like a stuck pig. It took a full ten seconds before he could even gasp for breath.
Du Jinlong whipped his head around and bellowed at his cronies, "Are you all dead?! Didn't you see this bastard break my finger? Get him! Kill him!"
Snapping out of their shock, Du Jinlong's lackeys howled and charged at Cheng Yuan.
But they were no match for Cheng Yuan.
Without even using his True Essence, Cheng Yuan took down all seven or eight of them with just one hand.
Du Jinlong's pupils contracted. 'This guy is ridiculously strong.'
But Du Jinlong wasn't scared. He pointed at Cheng Yuan's nose and yelled, "Punk, you think you can take my woman just because you know a few moves? Do you have any idea who I am? Believe it or not, I can have the entire security team here with one phone call!"
Cheng Yuan completely ignored him, turning to Liu Qian and asking gently, "Qianqian, does this punk bother you often?"
"Yes. It's been two months."
"That long? Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
"I was worried I'd cause trouble for you… especially after what happened with Wang Shanshan…"
"Qianqian, if anything like this ever happens again, you tell me immediately. Understood? I won't let anyone bully you."
Liu Qian nodded lightly, a smile of relief spreading across her face. It felt as if with Cheng Yuan by her side, she wouldn't be afraid even if the sky itself were to fall.
Du Jinlong was furious. This punk was completely ignoring him!
"Hey, punk! Didn't you hear me? Do you know who I am? How dare you try to steal my woman?"
SMACK!
Cheng Yuan backhanded him across the face.
The blow knocked Du Jinlong straight to the ground.
Cheng Yuan planted his foot on Du Jinlong's chest and asked coldly, "Then do you know who *I* am?"
