“The last thing I remember was crossing the street. The last thing I heard was a truck honking right before it hit me. Did I wake up in heaven? No. Did I get amazing superpowers? Also no. I woke up wearing expensive silk robes, enough makeup to start a cosmetics brand, and earrings so heavy they could count as a workout.
”Your Grace, since His Majesty has abandoned you, please leave the palace.“ The guard announced.
Excuse me? Five minutes later, I learned three terrible facts. First, I was no longer me. Second, I was now Wei.
Third, I had been reincarnated into the romance novel ”Lycan Emperor's Secret Male Concubine“ as the Emperor's forgotten Beta concubine.
Not the hero. Not the villain. Just a side character who spends years chasing the Emperor's affection before being abandoned. Absolutely not. I am straight. I refuse to follow the original plot. Luckily, I had one skill from my old life, cooking. Back on Earth, I was a chef. Nothing legendary, just someone who loved creating good food. But in this world, apparently knowing how to make dishes beyond boiled meat and plain rice was enough to shock everyone.
The abandoned Beta concubine wasn't crying for the Emperor anymore. He was a mysterious chef creating dishes nobody had ever seen, and unfortunately, those rumours reached the one person I wanted to avoid, the Lycan Emperor.
”The food you make.“ He said, looking at his empty plate. ”I want to taste it again.“
I froze. This wasn't supposed to happen, I wasn't supposed to become famous, I wasn't supposed to catch the Emperor's attention, and I definitely wasn't supposed to get affection system designed to win emperor himself!
”I am in danger.“ I whispered as I tried to step away from the Emperor for the 50th time this week.
Because somehow, my plan to avoid the Emperor turned me into his favorite chef.”
