Hyur offered Tyler some food, which had been laced with a sleeping powder. However, Tyler politely refused and instead took a fasting pill he had with him. He had no appetite and preferred not to eat anything.
"This bastard is vigilant," Hyur thought, noting Tyler’s cautiousness in refusing food from a stranger. Now, Hyur had to think of another way to subdue him. Knocking Tyler out was an option, but it carried the risk of being noticed by other patrol officers in the cave.
Determined, Hyur led Tyler to the tunnel where all the kidnapped children were being held. This Blood Cave Garden had been established by some sect elders and was meant for future generations to explore. Occasionally, new and unexplored caves or passages would open up. Hyur had discovered one by chance, but unfortunately, it didn’t yield any treasures. The only valuable item he found was sealed behind a barrier he couldn’t breach. Despite this, he did find an array that allowed him to control certain aspects of the cave.
After entering the cave, they found the children unconscious. Tyler checked them and sighed with relief that they were alright, but he didn’t find Silvia.
"Yeah, take me to Silvia," Tyler demanded.
"W-what are you saying?" Hyur panicked.
"After releasing that guy whom I tied up before, I asked a servant disciple if anyone had visited Supervisor Han along with that guy. They didn’t know your name, but they described your appearance," Tyler explained. Hyur, with his bright brown hair, stood out even in a group of brown-haired people.
"As expected, someone from the investigation department," Hyur muttered, stopping his pretence and walking further into the cave.
"What about these kids?" Tyler asked.
"Oh... Aren’t you righteous? Well, they will wake up in four hours. Their charms can withstand for six hours. So don’t worry. I will also leave the way open," Hyur replied as he touched the side of the wall, causing an engraved array to shine brightly in the air and open a passage that would allow others to find the children easily. He then opened another cave.
Tyler and Hyur entered inside. Hyur stood by the entrance and locked the cave from the inside. He didn’t want to give them a chance to escape.
