My Succubus Harem System In The Reverse World

Chapter 32: Slamming the Door on a Tsundere’s Regret

I walked out of the center ring, holding the sphere in my palm.

My head was still throbbing from forcing the loop closed, but the pain was finally starting to fade. I handed the glass back to Mira.

"Why can’t I go below fifty percent?"

Mira tapped a few keys on her tablet, logging the final results of the session.

"Your control is still in stage one, Revien. It will improve with practice. Honestly, asking someone with your specific class to just stop pulling mana is like asking a fish not to drink water. You are fighting your own biology. The fact that you didn’t blow up my lab is a win."

"Thank you for the overwhelming vote of confidence."

I turned to Jenna, who was leaning against the console and checking her phone.

"So, can I know who I will participate with tomorrow?"

Jenna offered a smile, slipping her phone into her pocket.

"That’s a secret. But I will tell you this much: those three girls are talented. You won’t have to worry about carrying the team."

"Right," I nodded, running the logic in my head.

"Three girls. Not Gianna."

"No," Jenna confirmed easily.

"Gianna is running a different rotation this week."

Okay. It will be fine. I have my submission skill if I actually need to fight something up close, and my main job is to support the Vanguard anyway.

It isn’t a big deal for now. I just need to learn the ropes and figure out how a real gate break operates.

"When can I meet other supporters?" I asked.

"I need to see how the other side of the dynamic actually works in the field."

"You will," Jenna promised, picking up her jacket.

"I will try to bring another guild team for test runs soon. You can pair up with Gianna and the others then. It will give you a solid idea of how the competition will be once you enroll at the academy."

That sounded great. I needed real, practical combat experience before stepping foot into those classes.

The rest of the day was a blur. After finishing lunch and surviving a few more grueling physical training blocks, Jenna finally took pity on me and asked a guild driver to drop me back at my house.

The second I walked through my front door, I threw my ruined, sweaty shirt over a chair and collapsed face-first onto my bed.

I was eager to see exactly how much I had grown, now that the lingering heat in my veins had settled back down to a normal rhythm.

"Status Window."

[Name: Revien]

[Class: Succubus]

[Level: 16]

[Attributes]

Strength: 27

Agility: 25

Vitality: 22

Mana: 78

Perception: 30

Charm: 90

There wasn’t a crazy jump in my base stats, but my overall level had gone up three times in a single day.

That was an absurd rate of progression for doing almost nothing.

"Pull up Gianna’s status."

[Gianna Everheart - Intimate Profile]

Favorability: 38

Rating: 9.7

Arousal: 55

Fatigue: 40

I studied the floating text.

The system noted that arousal showed real-time metrics, while favorability remained constant until a major shift happened.

Okay. So a plus-ten jump in favorability didn’t sound bad at all.

Even after we made out like crazy and she stormed out claiming she didn’t want to establish any rules, she was still thinking about it.

I rolled off the bed and moved to the living room, crashing onto the sofa. I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, flipping over to a streaming channel dedicated to live dungeon explorations.

A flashy video from the Highland Guild was playing.

The camera followed Draven. He was in the middle of an A-rank gate, dodging monster attacks while shouting cheesy lines to the camera drones.

"Don’t worry, babe!" Draven yelled on the screen, grabbing a female hunter by the waist and dipping her backward right as a goblin swung an axe at them.

He kissed her right on the mouth.

A yellow buff icon appeared over her head.

"My energy will keep you safe!"

The women giggled, instantly blasting the goblin into ash with a wave of fire.

"This little shit," I groaned, throwing my head back against the cushions.

The broadcast cut to a commercial for Draven’s upcoming feature film.

They were actually making theatrical movies about this guy.

The whole setup was such a total turn-off.

Was this what people expected from me?

Running around a dungeon, trading kisses for buffs like some kind of armed vending machine?

I clicked the TV off. The silence of the apartment settled in immediately.

Tomorrow was my first real fight.

And honestly?

I was slightly afraid.

Sparring in a padded room with Gianna was one thing. Facing actual monsters with three strangers while trying not to accidentally blow up their mana cores was an entirely different game.

As I was lost in my thoughts, the doorbell rang.

Hmm?

Did Jenna forget to tell me something?

She wouldn’t come here this fast, would she?

I pushed myself off the sofa and walked over to the door, pulling it open without checking the peephole.

It wasn’t Jenna.

Gianna stood in the hallway.

She wasn’t wearing her rigid combat gear anymore. She had on a simple oversized hoodie and dark jeans. Her blue-tipped hair was falling loose around her shoulders, messy and unstyled. Her face wasn’t flushed. She wasn’t blushing. She just looked deadpan, her red eyes staring right at my chest.

"Hey," I started, genuinely surprised by the late visit.

She didn’t reply right away. She looked up at my eyes, her jaw tightening as she fought some kind of internal battle.

"It was a bad idea."

Then, without waiting for me to respond, she turned around to walk away.

My reflexes kicked in before my brain could even process the rejection.

I reached out, my fingers wrapping around her wrist. I didn’t let her take another step down the hall.

"No, it wasn’t," I said, pulling her inside the apartment and kicking the door shut.
