Chapter 292: Retreat
BANG!
A dull thud sounded. Before the scrawny man could even react, a foot slammed into his chest. He was sent flying backward, crashing through a table in the room before his momentum was finally broken.
"Trash like you shouldn't even bother showing up."
"Even killing you feels like a waste of my time."
Lin Feng said flatly, his expression utterly cold, as if he weren't the one who had just sent the man flying.
Suddenly, Lin Feng frowned. He sensed several faint presences closing in on him. His gaze turned cold as he leaped to the side and lunged forward.
BANG!
The moment Lin Feng moved, a loud bang resounded. He had kicked one of the men in black, his iron leg piercing straight through the man's chest.
Meanwhile, a jet-black short blade appeared out of nowhere, viciously stabbing into Lin Feng's side!
The force behind it was so great that it lifted Lin Feng completely off the ground, sending him flying a full ten meters before he landed.
Lin Feng's expression grew grave. He looked down at the Short Blade buried three inches deep in his abdomen, then snorted coldly and yanked it out.
Blood immediately spurted out, dyeing the ground red. Lin Feng's gaze was ice-cold as he looked at the other assassins, all of whom were now holding weapons.
A gruesome wound had appeared on his abdomen, from which blood streamed steadily, completely soaking his black clothes.
The assassins exchanged a look, their eyes filled with horror. Their attack had been cunning and swift; even they had been certain it would hit its mark.
But they never expected that Lin Feng would actually take the blow head-on without dodging, all while launching a counter-attack of his own.
Just then, Lin Feng took a step forward, his figure flickering before vanishing from sight.
SWISH!
After a few dull thuds, Lin Feng's figure reappeared, now holding two severed heads in his right hand.
"I already told you. Killing you is a waste of my time."
Coughing twice, Lin Feng forced himself to stand straight, not daring to show the slightest hint of fatigue.
After all, he didn't know what other enemies might be lurking in the shadows. If he revealed any weakness, it could invite a fatal blow.
Several figures slowly emerged from the shadows. They all carried longswords and radiated a palpable killing intent, a clear sign that they were well-trained.
"Heh, you really are impressive. No wonder you managed to break in here. Today, we brothers will have some fun with you."
one of the assassins said with a grin, though his words were dripping with killing intent.
"Too much talk. Time to send you on your way!"
Lin Feng said flatly.
The corners of his mouth curled up slightly as a powerful aura began to emanate from his body.
He slowly raised his right palm, gently clenched it into a fist, and settled into a peculiar opening stance.
The terrifying killing intent surging from Lin Feng enveloped him. He just stood there, quietly watching them, his expression unchanging.
Across from him, the assassins were gritting their teeth, their faces flushed. How could they not feel the biting killing intent rolling off Lin Feng?
But their hearts seethed with rage. 'We have to kill this brat!'
'Lin Feng's power is too immense, far exceeding our expectations. The guy is simply monstrous—his combat skills, his sharp reflexes, his countermeasures... they're all freakishly good.'
'And that terrifying strength... we're starting to suspect he isn't even human, but a savage beast in human skin. How else could he possess such horrifying power?'
WHOOSH!
While they stood in stunned silence, Lin Feng was the first to make a move.
With a crisp SNAP, Lin Feng's arm shot up. Held between his fingers were several silver needles, each one glinting with a faint, cold blue light—a clear sign they were coated in deadly poison!
PFFT!
In the blink of an eye, with a flick of his fingers, Lin Feng sent the needles shooting out like bullets.
THUD!
One of the assassins' foreheads was instantly pierced by a tiny, flexible silver needle. The combination of severed nerves and potent poison claimed his life in an instant!
Lin Feng's form erupted into motion as he lunged toward another assassin, his movements like those of a phantom.
WHOOSH!
His Body Technique was fluid and his movements incredibly nimble. Each strike was unpredictable, leaving no trace for his opponent to follow.
Yet every strike took a life. His movements were as fluid and effortless as a leisurely stroll, but his methods were ruthlessly efficient, striking terror into his foes.
Arcs of scarlet blood sprayed through the air. With every move Lin Feng made, an assassin fell in a pool of blood.
These assassins couldn't withstand the power of a single one of his punches. In just a few moments, he had slain seven of them.
The remaining three assassins scrambled backward, their eyes filled with wariness and dread. Lin Feng had already locked his sights on them.
'Lin Feng's power is on another level. We're powerless to resist. Our only choice now is to run!'
BANG!
Lin Feng moved, instantly appearing in front of one of them. But the man was ready and immediately launched a sweeping kick.
Lin Feng raised his left arm to block. At the same time, his right arm whipped around, bringing his elbow down in a vicious strike.
CRACK!
The sound of shattering bone echoed. The assassin was sent flying sideways, crashing hard onto the ground. He twitched a few times, then went still. A one-hit kill!
Lin Feng glanced at his right arm. 'These assassins have some strange techniques, but my body is strong enough to withstand their attacks and kill them all in return.'
BANG!
Just then, a loud noise erupted beside Lin Feng. A black shadow appeared at his side in an instant, a blade slashing toward his neck. The attack was so fast that even someone of Lin Feng's caliber couldn't help his pupils from contracting.
He hastily tilted his head to dodge the keen blade, but he still felt a chill graze his neck. He immediately shifted half a meter to the side.
With a loud CLANG, the stone pillar that had been in front of Lin Feng was sliced in two and crashed to the ground.
'That was close.'
Lin Feng took a deep breath. 'I almost died just now. If I had been just a fraction of a second slower, I would have been sliced in two.'
But before he could even catch his breath, the black figure vanished once more.
POW!
Another piercing whistle cut through the air. Lin Feng's eyes sharpened. He quickly ducked, just in time to hear the clang of metal on metal!
