Chapter 130: Stablization Agent
Her voice was so calm that no one could tell they were hiding anything. A voice came from outside.
"Hello, I’m the bellboy. The owner just told me that your room has used water. He forgot to mention that there’s a separate charge of ten zombie crystals for every cup of water."
Ni Mengxue’s lips twitched. "All right. I understand. I’ll pay it in two hours. I’m currently teaching the children something important."
The bellboy immediately replied, "Yes, yes. I understand."
His footsteps soon faded away.
Once they were alone again, Ni Mengxue focused on Fu Sinan.
After finishing the porridge in his half-conscious state, Fu Sinan completely lost consciousness.
Ni Mengxue immediately thought of Lu Yucai and walked out.
Fu Jing grabbed the edge of her clothes.
Ni Mengxue looked down at his hand before blinking at him.
That simple gesture seemed to calm him.
Fu Jing slowly released her clothes.
Ni Mengxue soon returned with Lu Yucai.
After checking Fu Sinan’s condition, Lu Yucai looked at Ni Mengxue.
"He’s going to awaken a superpower. His purple aura has become much stronger."
Ni Mengxue finally breathed a sigh of relief. She sat down beside the bed.
"Then we just have to wait."
As they waited, Fu Jing suddenly muttered, "Strange. No one in our family has ever awakened a superpower before."
Ni Mengxue paused before smiling.
"Boy, DNA doesn’t determine whether someone can awaken a superpower. Certain people with special genes can pass stronger potential to their children, but most humans don’t possess those genes."
She glanced at Fu Sinan.
"In the end, awakening depends on what triggers the limits within a person’s body. Anyone could potentially awaken when placed under the right circumstances."
"Once they reach that limit, the superpower is triggered based on what their body is most compatible with and which element suits them."
Fu Jing listened carefully before asking innocently, "But then why do people awaken more superpower other than elemental powers?"
Ni Mengxue smiled.
"Then they might be compatible with two elements at the same time, which can result in a very unique type of superpower, such as a psychic ability. Psychic powers aren’t purely elemental, but they can be related to both earth and air. When someone has a strong compatibility with both elements, their body may develop a psychic ability that allows them to interfere with gravitational forces."
She paused briefly before adding, "In simple terms, such an ability can allow someone to separate objects, weaken or even nullify the effects of gravity, and manipulate air to a certain extent."
Fu Jing’s eyes widened.
"Wow! I’ve never heard of such a theory."
Even Lu Yucai was stunned. He had never heard such a unique explanation for superpower awakening.
He looked at Ni Mengxue. "Then what about telepathy?"
Ni Mengxue smiled and explained the theory behind telepathy as well.
By the time she finished, both Fu Jing and Lu Yucai were completely engrossed in her explanation.
Before they could ask more questions, Fu Sinan finally regained consciousness.
He slowly opened his eyes. "What happened?"
Ni Mengxue immediately answered, "You most likely awakened a superpower."
Fu Sinan’s eyes brightened.
He instinctively tried to activate his ability.
"Don’t use it yet," Ni Mengxue quickly stopped him. "I need to make a stabilisation potion for you first."
Everyone looked at her in confusion.
Ni Mengxue sighed.
During her time in the interstellar era, she had learned that using a newly awakened superpower immediately could be dangerous. It could damage the ability’s source and weaken its future potential.
Interstellar researchers had developed stabilization potions for precisely this reason.
Furthermore, avoiding the use of a newly awakened ability for three days could help strengthen its foundation.
After absorbing a sufficient amount of zombie crystals and training the ability using specialised methods, its original potential could even be transformed into a growth-type superpower.
Ni Mengxue had personally overseen much of that research during her time in the interstellar era, so she understood the process better than most.
Even without a stabilisation agent, her own abilities had developed far more strongly than those of ordinary awakened people.
Fu Sinan immediately asked, "Where can I buy the stabilization agent?"
Ni Mengxue froze. She had no answer.
A stabilization agent could theoretically be made in this era. She already had most of the necessary herbs, but she would need to conduct research before she could successfully formulate it.
That would take at least a week.
If she stopped everything and started researching in the laboratory now, she would waste precious time.
But if she didn’t, Fu Sinan could lose his only chance to develop his ability into a growth-type superpower.
Just as she was thinking, Lu Yucai gently covered her hand with his.
"Don’t worry. If it’s too difficult, we can adjust our plans. It’s not as though everyone has access to a stabilization agent. Most people have never even taken one."
Ni Mengxue sighed.
She looked at Fu Sinan, gritted her teeth, and finally made her decision.
"Give me one week. I need to stay in this base for a week."
She stood up and marched out.
Fu Sinan silently watched her leave before lowering his eyes to the blanket.
Fu Jing, on the other hand, suddenly teared up.
He tugged on Lu Yucai’s clothes.
"Uncle Lu, did we cause trouble for you? Are we ruining your entire trip? I’m sorry. We’re almost acting like a burden. Please ask Auntie not to fuss over us so much."
Lu Yucai was just about to comfort him when the door suddenly opened.
Ni Mengxue returned. She pointed directly at Fu Sinan.
"Don’t you dare call me Auntie! I’m your sister!"
With that, she closed the door again and walked away.
Lu Yucai, Fu Sinan, and Fu Jing exchanged glances.
They were silent for a moment.
This was apparently the only thing that truly offended her.
Suddenly, they felt as though they had been overthinking everything.
Meanwhile, Ni Mengxue was practically fuming.
The moment she left the hotel, she accidentally collided with someone.
She rubbed her forehead and heard an irritated voice.
"Watch where you’re going!"
