“Hmm...”

Feeling Xai Lin rubbing his neck, An Mo released a faint hum and hugged her even tighter.

Feeling that An Mo had calmed down a bit, Xai Lin smiled to herself before turning her gaze to the lake nearby. She saw no problem with her getting to have her way with An Mo, while rejecting him.

Hypocritical? Yes indeed. But she felt that she shouldn’t indulge An Mo too much in certain matters, because he seems to be the type to be swept away by his emotions. They’ve just gotten together; there was no reason for them to hastily try and closen their relationship to the extent of exposing themselves to each other.

Well, at least that was the excuse Xai Lin made for herself.

In actuality, An Mo had no other thoughts. He just childishly wanted to settle the score of her taking advantage of him— and there seemed to be some lingering resentment from her chasing him across the Great Forest territory.

But Xai Lin instinctively wanted to be in a dominant position in their relationship, so she selfishly chose to wrong An Mo in this matter and keep their relationship like this.

However, An Mo was no fool and had likely already figured this out but chose to acquiesce to her.

So, rather than saying she was trying not to indulge An Mo too much, it was better to say it was An Mo who was indulging her severely.

A flicker of amusement and cunning flashed in Xai Lin’s blue eyes that was reflecting the lake nearby.

While gazing at the lake, Xai Lin couldn’t help but recall An Mo’s-soaked figure and smacked her lips internally.

She also couldn’t help but recall her first meeting with An Mo, and how it had reached this point.

Xai Lin had to admit that she had only seen An Mo for the abilities he could give her. He was like a rare treasure or toy, she had just found and claimed as her own.

However, during that time when they had sealed each other and she had first seen his human form. She suddenly realized that this toy was not quite what she had expected. So, she had developed a bit of interest in it and had somewhat even become a bit possessive— afraid it would escape before she could fully understand it.

But as she and An Mo began interacting, she saw that this toy she had picked up could go from being extremely obedient to being overly boisterous, or even annoying at times.

Suddenly, the toy was no longer a toy, and that possessiveness and interest slowly transform into indulgence and fondness. Especially during their few days of traveling. Even though they were reserved about revealing their backgrounds in detail, they had spoken a lot and gotten to know each other.

So, after hearing An Mo finally talk about his past, that fondness in her heart quickly transformed into affection, and gave her the impression that it wouldn’t be so bad becoming Dao Companions with this silly and pitiful person.

Xai Lin thoughts twist and turn as she stared at the lake before settling down.

But after she finished recalling her first meeting with An Mo, she suddenly realized that the possessiveness toward An Mo after seeing his human form was rather strange.

Afterall, possessiveness was another form of affection. So, in reality it might have been love at first sight for her.

Well, it might have been love after seeing An Mo’s naked body.

No wonder she kept touching him afterwards. Turns out she was an extremely vain person, actually falling in love only after seeing a clothesless beauty.

Xai Lin suddenly felt a slight prick on her earlobe.

“What are you thinking?”

An Mo’s muffled voice rang out as he held Xai Lin’s earlobe between his teeth.

An Mo thought mockingly in his heart.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Xai Lin responded absentmindedly.

“Hm? I was thinking about when we should leave the Demonic Realm. I think it would be easier to leave using the residual fluctuations back at the stream where we first met. But that would undoubtedly be dangerous given that it would take us near the Earth Spear Immortal Sect’s Secret Realm, and I believe it should be swarming with experts at this time.”

“Oh. I don’t understand how those teleportation tokens work, so I can only leave us safely bypassing that restriction and getting out of here to you.”

That’s what An Mo said, but he thought rather sarcastically internally.

‘Wait, so does that mean I can bite your ear without worry? Great! How magnanimous of you...hmph!’

“Yeah, leave it to me. I’ll get us out here safely.”

Xai Lin patted An Mo’s back as she said this.

An Mo immediately beamed with joy, and while rubbing against Xai Lin’s neck he said excitedly.

“Little Xai, you’re so good to me. If you’re always like this, how would I bare to leave you in the future?”

‘Heh. I’ll be sticking to you like flesh to bones! But if you dare to treat me poorly in the future, I’ll disfigure my cute face and ruin my smooth skin as well as the luscious fur you love to touch so much!’

“Aren’t you being too silly? We just got together, why bring up me leaving? Plus, did you forget I was the one who confessed to you? If anything, shouldn’t I be the one conscious of you suddenly deciding to leave?”

An Mo quickly shook his head and said.

“Didn’t you confess because you saw that I liked you? I admit that I was initially just happy to make a friend, but you kept touching me without any sense of boundaries between men and women, so I couldn’t help but think in that way and eventually come to love you.”

‘Heh. You were acting so shamelessly, treating me like a toy you can play with whenever you want. Who’s to say you weren’t purposely trying to seduce little old me? You were probably a repressed pervert in that past life you don’t want to talk about. Ah, wait! Don’t tell me that was truly the case? Damn, did I fall in love with a shameless pervert? I—’

“An Mo...”

Xai Lin suddenly called out to An Mo, cutting off his wondering thoughts.

“Huh?”

An Mo lifted his head slightly to look at Xai Lin’s side profile. His monkey face still showed a somewhat dazed expression.

Xai Lin turned her head slightly to meet his golden eyes and seeing him with such an expression on his face, she couldn’t help but chuckle, before asking.

“Are you secretly thinking badly about me?”

“Huh?!”

An Mo’s eyes widened, and his golden eyes while looking at Xai Lin seemed to be asking the question, “How did you know?!’.

Upon seeing his reaction, Xai Lin immediately burst into laughter. Between her laughter she said.

“You really can’t hide anything on that face of yours no matter how much you try. It was so obvious you were whispering sweet nothings to cover up the bad things you were saying in your mind. Let me guess... Are you calling me a pervert in your mind?”

An Mo indulged in the pleasant sound of Xai Lin’s laughter, before suddenly snapping out of it when he heard her accurately guessing his thoughts.

An Mo blushed slightly, but rather than denying it, he truthfully retorted.

“Yeah, but are you not?”
