Chapter 114: Ultimate Source Blood
The appetizer was over. The flames inside the factory were still burning fiercely. Some bizarre Aberrant Parasites had just barely shown their heads before the three of them worked together to eliminate them.
Actually, "bizarre" was not quite the right word. However, it was hard to think of a more suitable description for their appearances. For example, one Aberrant Parasite had a body that was half wolf and half scarlet insect. Even after the fire had charred one side of its body, leaving the other side blood-red, its immense vitality kept it thrashing around frantically. It had only died when Yu Lie swung his spear at it.
The factory extended deep underground, with all manner of strange creatures still lurking below. So, Yu Xian had no choice but to conserve his Spatial Blood Energy. Instead, he controlled a hand-shaped bubble to wield the Manji Thunderflash Blade, which had been a gift from the Dragon King Golden Toad. The blade was so sharp that he needed only one slash to deal with anything below Wolf rank.
Right then, a spatial bubble filled with blood floated over. Yu Xian brought out a cup and filled it. Without changing expression, he took a sip. The taste was not bad. So, he drank the blood down in large mouthfuls.
Xiao Cheng got curious. "Did you gain a new ability?"
Yu Xian shook his head and said helplessly, "No. However, that Perfect Lifeform heart of mine seems to be absorbing the blood. I'll keep trying."
Suddenly, a black shadow flashed through the flames. It was so fast that Yu Xian could sense its presence, but not react in time. However, he had confidence in the Dragon Shield and did not have to react at all. He continued holding his cup and leisurely drinking blood.
Using a nearby pillar as a springboard, the black shadow propelled itself in a sharp arc. It instantly reached Yu Xian's flank and unleashed a tempest of attacks. However, the Dragon Shield flickered around Yu Xian, effortlessly blocking every strike.
Realizing that this was not a viable target, the black shadow turned to flee, only for Yu Lie's spear to pierce it. With a sharp flick of his wrist, Yu Lie hurled the creature to the ground, leaving it on the verge of death.
It was a cat-like Perfect Lifeform with a series of speed-enhancing abilities, including Super Speed, Super Acceleration, Super Agility, Super Muscles, and Super Nerves. The factory's researchers had clearly designed it to be a high-speed combatant.
In fact, the factory held many other experimental monsters. After creating them, the researchers had not destroyed them, keeping them alive as better materials for gene extraction.
Fortunately, these monsters lacked the intelligence to cooperate with each other. Many of them even fought among themselves in the lower levels, devouring one another. Because of that, Yu Xian's group did not have to face an entire army of monsters.
After drinking all the blood he had extracted from Perfect Lifeform No. 006, Yu Xian glanced at the cat-like Perfect Lifeform on the ground. In the end, he gave up on the idea of drinking its blood. The cat-like Perfect Lifeform had died with its eyes wide open and its tongue sticking out. Its death looked a little too ugly.
Although he was somewhat curious about what would happen to his Perfect Lifeform Heart after it absorbed all this blood, he was not in any particular rush at the moment. Plenty of Perfect Lifeforms were alive below. Even if other things were in short supply, Perfect Lifeforms were definitely not.

The Perfect Lifeforms that remained in the lower levels instead of fleeing were among the strongest of the batch. These were the ones that truly lived up to the name "Perfect Lifeform," and almost none of them possessed a fixed form.
The head of a Perfect Lifeform, flickering between a snake and a toucan, burst out from the floor. In a flash, it shot its neck upward, punching right through the factory roof and violently sucking in the surrounding air.
Yu Lie immediately severed its neck. However, the Perfect Lifeform did not die. Instead, it rapidly grew a second head, then swallowed its original head and neck in one gulp.
A bull's head sprouted from its body and turned toward Yu Lie. It unleashed a thunderous roar. Before it could launch another attack, however, Xiao Cheng's Chrono-Stagnation Domain froze it in place.
Yu Lie struck from multiple angles in rapid succession. Once all of his attacks were suspended within the domain, Xiao Cheng released his ability in perfect coordination. A barrage of attacks struck the Perfect Lifeform, and it crashed to the ground.
Yu Xian, who had been standing off to the side like a bystander, immediately used spatial bubbles to draw blood from the Perfect Lifeform. Standing beside Xiao Cheng, he poured himself a cup and leisurely drank it.
Against monsters below Wolf rank, he could use the Manji Thunderflash Blade. But against monsters above Tiger rank, he would have to use Chaotic Spatial Bubbles. Doing so would waste far too much Spatial Blood Energy, so he left the monsters to Yu Lie and Xiao Cheng.
Every time a large Perfect Lifeform fell, Yu Xian would go over, extract a portion of its blood, and drink the blood. His Perfect Lifeform Heart gradually became redder and redder.
Finally, when he drank the blood of the thirty-fifth Perfect Lifeform, holes opened in his heart, transforming it into a Seven-Aperture Exquisite Heart. The heart began to beat slowly, drawing blood in and pumping it out through its seven apertures.
What entered this heart was his original Silver Blood, but what emerged was something wondrous. He could even vaguely sense that the blood in one of the apertures was appearing and disappearing out of thin air, as if it were exchanging blood across an incredibly vast distance.
Yu Xian immediately used Appraisal on himself.

Yu Xian closed his attributes panel. First, he took a deep breath. Then he continued drinking blood to calm the excitement in his heart.
Without a doubt, he had obtained an extremely powerful ability. While it didn't exactly specify up to which rank of being the Ultimate Source Blood could subjugate, Appraisal made it clear that his new powers were completely off the charts.
The Seven-Aperture Exquisite Heart had probably originated from Bi Gan, the Civil God of Wealth. However, the Ultimate Source Blood was a little harder to explain. [1]
The Perfect Lifeform's ability tree was essentially a chaotic hodgepodge, to the point that many of its abilities had mutated. No one could have anticipated that the combination of the Howling Celestial Dog's Super Smell and Xie Zhi's Super Brain would produce such a terrifyingly powerful sensory ability.
The Seven-Aperture Exquisite Heart had most likely mutated after interacting with one of his other abilities. As a result, the special blood that should have only allowed him to communicate with all creation and let his eyes break through all illusions had instead become the current Ultimate Source Blood.
But the process is not important. What matters most is the result!
Deep beneath the sea, inside a certain secret base belonging to the Ancient Sages Society, Zhou Tai No. 2 slowly opened his eyes. He glanced at one of his arms, and a faint smile appeared on his face. Ultimate Source Blood truly is incredible. It actually flew through space all the way to this severed arm of mine.
A hint of red light flashed through Zhou Tai No. 2's eyes. Clearly, he had already fallen under Yu Xian's control through the Ultimate Source Blood.
