The Heiress They Lost Came Back Overpowered

Chapter 210 - 209: Coax Me

The temperature in Continent R was already starting to rise, and a hint of summer heat was in the air.

That evening, Yvonne Lowell couldn’t find any of her short loungewear sets in the walk-in closet, so she casually snatched a short-sleeved T-shirt from Leo Grant’s side of the wardrobe, grabbed a pair of athletic shorts, and headed straight into the bathroom.

When Yvonne Lowell came out of the bathroom, Leo Grant happened to be pushing the bedroom door open and walking in.

The sight before him made Leo Grant freeze on the spot. A wave of heat rushed to his head, and his mouth suddenly felt dry.

His girlfriend had her hair up in a messy bun, her delicate, pretty face flushed pink from the steam.

She was wearing his shirt, the hem just barely covering her backside and revealing the edge of her athletic shorts.

But the T-shirt, which was a perfect fit on him, looked a bit too oversized on her. He had a feeling it was going to slip off one of her shoulders at any second.

And those long, fair legs, shimmering under the lights, seemed to inexplicably dazzle him.

Yvonne Lowell glanced behind him and raised an eyebrow. "Where’s Leogryph? Is he not clinging to you anymore?"

Nolan Crawford had been sent on a business trip by Leo Grant that morning, and since the two of them had gone out for dinner, Leogryph had been left home alone. After dinner, the pet had insisted on following them upstairs.

But as soon as they got upstairs, Leogryph had followed at Leo Grant’s heels into the study, completely ignoring her, his own mother.

Leo Grant’s voice was a little husky. "Yeah, he couldn’t stay put in the study, so he went downstairs on his own. I had Warren Lynch keep an eye on him."

"Alright then. I guess your father-son bond has run its course for the day. He’ll probably come back up on his own after he’s had a little wander."

Yvonne Lowell didn’t say anything more and sat on the bed with her phone.

A flicker of light danced in Leo Grant’s eyes. Feigning nonchalance, he undid the top two buttons of his shirt.

’Summer seems to have come unusually early this year,’ he thought. Even in the climate-controlled room, he was starting to feel a little hot.

Yvonne Lowell was looking down, replying to a message from Nina Jennings, when she felt an unignorable gaze on her and looked up.

"Aren’t you going to take a shower? Why are you just standing there? Is there something you want to say to me?"

Leo Grant didn’t speak. Instead, he knelt on the bed, placing his hands on either side of her and trapping her within his embrace.

Yvonne Lowell’s eyes darted away, and she instinctively shrank back. "What are you doing?"

’There’s that intensely aggressive look again.’ Though Yvonne Lowell had seen it from him many times and didn’t dislike it, she still felt inexplicably intimidated...

Leo Grant took the opportunity to press her down onto the bed. He brushed his nose against hers and said in a throaty voice, "Sweetheart, have you forgotten something you were supposed to do?"

"What did I forget? I don’t think I forgot anything, did I?" Yvonne Lowell looked at him, completely baffled.

She had just mentally reviewed her to-do list and couldn’t think of anything she’d missed.

Besides, she was the type to delegate everything, and she was currently on vacation, just slacking off. What could she possibly have to do?

Looking at the still-flushed little face before him, Leo Grant was suddenly overcome with the urge to take a bite. And in fact, that’s exactly what he did.

"Damn it! Are you a dog!?"

Yvonne Lowell covered her face, looking at him accusatorially.

’It didn’t hurt, and it didn’t leave a mark, but why do I feel so inexplicably embarrassed!?’

Leo Grant chuckled. "Want to bite me back? It wouldn’t be the first time, anyway."

He was referring to the time she had bitten him, and he had deliberately gone to the office showing off the bite mark.

"Just get to the point. What did you say I forgot?" Yvonne Lowell shot him an annoyed glare.

"This afternoon at the entrance of Prosperity Pavilion, my sweetheart wanted to placate me, but you haven’t finished the job yet," Leo Grant said meaningfully.

"Heh. So I guess you weren’t grinning from ear to ear this afternoon? You were just airing out your hot front teeth, is that it?"

Yvonne Lowell raised her hands to push him away, but he caught them first.

Leo Grant sighed. "Since my sweetheart won’t keep her word, I guess I’ll just have to placate myself."

Without waiting for her reply, he kissed her.

It wasn’t until Yvonne Lowell felt like she was about to suffocate that Leo Grant reluctantly let her go.

Leo Grant rested his forehead against hers, his breathing a little heavy. He rasped, "Sweetheart, I’m still not placated. Won’t you try a little more?"

Yvonne Lowell’s eyelashes fluttered as she instinctively avoided his gaze. "Give them an inch, and they’ll take a mile."

Leo Grant took her small hand with his own large, well-defined one.

"When it comes to you, I’ve always been greedy."

...

「In front of the bathroom sink.」

A man and a woman stood there, the only sound in the quiet bathroom being the running water from the faucet.

The girl stared into the mirror with a wooden expression while the man rested his chin on her shoulder, his strong arms wrapped around her from behind.

Although the man’s expression wasn’t entirely clear, you could feel the air of smug satisfaction radiating from him.

In the sink, two large hands were wrapped around a small one, patiently washing it.

Leo Grant turned off the faucet, took a nearby towel to dry her hand, then gently kneaded her palm.

Then, he planted a firm peck on her cheek. "Sweetheart, you’ve worked hard."

Yvonne Lowell shot him a glare through the mirror. "No one would think you were mute if you just kept your mouth shut."

’Again with the all-you-can-look-but-not-eat buffet,’ she grumbled internally. ’And this time I had to do all the work. My hand barely even feels like my own anymore.’

But then she recalled the magnificent sight from just now, and suddenly, not being able to "eat" didn’t seem like such a big deal anymore.

After all, compared to lusting after his body, she valued her own life more.

Leo Grant let out a cheerful laugh, and even with her back against him, Yvonne Lowell could feel his chest vibrating.

"My fault, I was too impulsive." ’But I’ll definitely do it again.’

Yvonne Lowell was about to curse him out when he swept her up into his arms and placed her on the sofa.

Then, he obediently went to change the bedsheets before carrying the young woman back to the bed and tucking her in.

"I’m going to take a shower. I’ll be right back. Wait for me."

Yvonne Lowell rolled her eyes at him. She instinctively reached for her phone with her right hand, but halfway through the motion, she pulled it back and used her left hand instead.

Leo Grant’s shower was quick this time. He was out of the bathroom and heading into the walk-in closet in no time.

When Yvonne Lowell looked up again, he was just coming out of the walk-in closet. He held his pajamas in his hand, his body still wrapped in that same bath towel.

And then, looking fresh and dewy, he untied the towel right in front of her and began to change as if no one was there.

Yvonne Lowell: ...?!

She shot him a glance, tossed her phone aside, and squeezed her eyes shut.

Noticing her reaction, the corners of Leo Grant’s mouth lifted into a slight smile.

He pulled back the covers, slipped into bed, and gathered her into his arms, taking the opportunity to massage her right hand.

"Worn out, are we? Your stamina is a little lacking. What are we going to do about that in the future?"

"Get lost!"

Yvonne Lowell: ...’I can’t even.’
