GEM TALENT

Chapter 138: 138: A DAMSEL

----------------------------

The beautiful celebration continued inside the cozy living room of the quiet house with his two loyal friends, Adam and Stone.

The three young boys sat on the comfortable sofa and laughed at funny jokes while they shared cold drinks and sweet snacks. They enjoyed the warm feeling of being together again after a long period of stressful football training and confusing transfer rumors.

The living room felt like a safe space for the young footballer, and he loved spending his free time with the people who supported his dreams from the very beginning. Adam was always the one who came up with fun ideas, and Stone was always the quiet one who agreed with a gentle nod.

As the lively party went on and the music played softly in the background, Adam raised his head with a bright smile on his face. He said it to them that they should go on a short trip to the beach right now.

Adam explained that the afternoon sun was shining bright, and this made it the best time to run around the soft sand and relax their tired bodies by the ocean.

William wanted to try his luck again to see if he would see the beautiful girl he fell in love with at first sight during his previous visit, or maybe another nice person.

Because he held this secret hope in his mind, he agreed instantly to the fun idea. Adam and Stone knew exactly why William agreed so quick without asking any questions, but they ignored his eager reaction.

The two good friends just smiled at each other and kept the funny secret to themselves so William would not feel shy. They stood up from the soft sofa and started packing their small bags with clean towels and cold water bottles for the sunny trip.

After they finished their sweet drinks and gathered all their beach items, they left the quiet house that afternoon around two o'clock. The three friends walked outside into the bright neighborhood and went straight to the common beach around their local area.

The streets were filled with tall green trees and colorful houses, and the warm afternoon sun cast long shadows on the paved roads. As they walked along the smooth sidewalk and crossed the busy streets, a gentle sea breeze hit their smiling faces.

This cooling wind carried the fresh scent of salt and ocean water, and it made the young boys feel energetic and free. The common beach was always a popular place for locals and visitors, and it was usually filled with happy families and active teenagers on a sunny afternoon.

The boys could hear the distant sound of ocean waves crashing against the rocky shore as they walked closer to the destination. William walked in the middle of his two friends, and he listened to Adam and Stone talk about the beautiful weather and their plans for the rest of the weekend.

The bright blue sky had no dark clouds in sight, and the golden sun warmed their skin during the short walk. When they finally arrived at the wide entrance of the massive beach, they stopped by a wooden bench to take off their comfortable shoes. They wanted to feel the warm white sand under their bare feet, and they carried their footwear in their hands as they stepped onto the crowded shore.

As they walked across the crowded beach to find a good spot for their small bags, William's eyes were moving around the busy environment. He was searching through the colorful crowds of loud people just to see this girl he fell in love with at first sight a few weeks ago.

His young heart beat fast inside his strong chest, and he wished she would be sitting under one of the bright beach umbrellas scattered across the sand.

William looked near the small ice cream stands where children stood in long lines, and he also checked near the loud surfing areas where brave athletes rode the tall waves. He hoped to spot her long flowing hair in the wind or see her magical smile again in the middle of the massive crowd.

He scanned the rows of wooden beach chairs and watched the people walking along the wet shoreline, and he paid close attention to every face that passed by him. However, William didn't see the girl at the moment.

Despite his long search across the vast sandy shore, she was nowhere to be found among the hundreds of happy visitors. This realization made his hopeful heart feel a little sad, and he let out a soft sigh of disappointment. William knew that looking for one mysterious person in such a massive place was like finding a tiny needle in a large haystack.

Adam noticed William looking around with sad eyes, and he tapped his friend on the shoulder to bring his attention back to the present moment. He decided to push the romantic thoughts away for now, and he dropped his small bag next to his friends on a clean patch of warm sand.

Since the mysterious girl was nowhere in sight, his attention turned to the games he and his friends were playing on the open beach. Adam and Stone had already set up a small beach volleyball net using two wooden poles, and they called out his name to join the fun match.

William smiled and ran forward to join his best friends in the bright sunshine, and he was ready to show them his athletic skills. They started playing a fast game of beach volleyball, and they hit the colorful ball high into the clear blue sky.

They dove onto the soft sand to save the dropping ball from hitting the ground, and their bodies were soon covered in dry white sand. William's intense football training helped him jump high into the air, and he smashed the soft ball over the tight net with great power.

This amazing action made his friends laugh and cheer with joy, and they praised his boundless energy. After playing the tiring volleyball game for a long time, they took a short break to drink cold water before they switched to another fun activity.

They brought out a red flying frisbee from Adam's bag and started throwing it across the open beach. They ran fast along the wet shoreline and caught the flying disc just before it touched the salty ocean water.

The three friends even acted like small children by sitting down in the wet sand to build a huge sandcastle near the crashing waves. They used their bare hands to shape the wet sand into tall towers and thick walls, and they dug a deep moat around the castle to protect it from the incoming water.

They decorated the sandy towers with smooth seashells and small stones they found near the shore, and they felt proud of their beautiful creation. They forgot all about their serious daily worries and football pressures while they played the entertaining beach games together.

After spending hours running around the soft sand and splashing in the cool ocean water, the day began to change into evening. It was time to go home so they could relax and prepare for the next busy day. The bright afternoon sun was now setting over the deep ocean, and it painted the wide sky with stunning shades of pink, purple, and orange.

The beautiful sunset cast a warm glow over the entire beach, and the crowds of people started to pack their belongings to leave the shore. Adam and Stone started picking up their clean towels from the sand and packing their light bags for the walk back home.

Meanwhile, William stood still near the water and dusted the dry sand off his sports shorts and bare legs. He took one deep breath of the fresh ocean air, and he felt happy and grateful for the amazing day he spent with his friends.

Just as William was ready to turn around and follow his friends out of the busy beach, he felt a tap at his back. The light touch surprised his calm mind, and he wondered if Adam forgot to tell him something important.

As he turned his body around, a beautiful girl was standing at his back, and she looked right into his surprised eyes. She wore a bright dress that matched the colors of the setting sun, and her shiny hair blew in the gentle sea breeze.

William recognized her face instantly, and his heart leaped in his chest because she was the exact girl he had been searching for all afternoon. He could not believe his own eyes, and for a few seconds, he forgot how to speak.

The loud sounds of the crashing waves and the talking crowds seemed to fade away into the background. She stood there looking like an angel, and she held a small beach hat in her hands.

The girl seemed a bit shy but she maintained eye contact with him. She smiled a warm smile and showed her neat white teeth. Then, she spoke to him in a soft and sweet voice, saying, "You must be William, the new Blackpool boy?"
