Chapter 95 - 96 : Found Out
At the same time, Principal Masamichi Yaga decided to take a short break from his paperwork and walked over to the window for some fresh air.
The moment he opened it, his eyes drifted toward the training grounds below.
What he saw made him freeze.
The three first-years were sprawled across the ground, completely exhausted. Standing in front of them, Mark simply dusted off his clothes as though the entire spar had barely counted as exercise.
Yaga’s mouth slowly fell open. "...Satomi!"
His voice echoed across Jujutsu High. Silence. Only after a few seconds did he remember she had already left on a mission.
Yaga clicked his tongue. "...That woman."
Now he understood.
The whole boyfriend story had been complete nonsense. She hadn’t brought her boyfriend to Jujutsu High — she had simply brought an unknown jujutsu sorcerer into the school and used the boyfriend story as a convenient excuse to keep everyone from asking questions.
Yaga folded his arms as he continued watching Mark. The young man had defeated Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara without relying on a cursed technique, which immediately raised questions about his background.
"...Just wait until you get back, Satomi. I’m going to have a long talk with you."
Knowing her, she had probably expected him to figure it out eventually.
That only made him more determined to ensure she understood that smuggling an unknown sorcerer into Jujutsu High under the excuse of "he’s my boyfriend" was not something even she could get away with without an explanation.

At the same time, inside Jujutsu Headquarters, a confidential report was placed before the council of higher-ups. One of the elders slowly closed the file.
"So... Satomi’s boyfriend is a jujutsu sorcerer."
"The report contains almost nothing," another elder said. "No known affiliation. No registration within Jujutsu Headquarters. No meaningful history."
An elderly man resting both hands on his cane spoke in a calm voice. "More importantly... he has been placed beside Sukuna’s vessel."
The room fell silent. Everyone present understood what that implied.
"Satomi claims he is her boyfriend."
"I find that explanation difficult to accept."
"It changes nothing," an older member replied. "Whether he is her lover or merely someone she trusts, she has placed an unknown sorcerer beside the vessel."
Another elder nodded. "Then we proceed as originally planned. The vessel’s execution has only been suspended. If he dies during a mission before consuming all twenty fingers... then that is simply the result of an unfortunate incident."
No one at the table objected.
"The next mission assignment will be selected accordingly. It should appear routine on paper. But the actual threat level..." He left the sentence unfinished. The meaning was clear to everyone present.
"If Satomi’s unknown sorcerer insists on accompanying the vessel," another elder said, "then he will share the same fate."
The eldest member of the council quietly closed the report. "No further discussion is necessary. The mission will be arranged."
The meeting ended in unanimous silence, each elder already understanding what the assignment was meant to accomplish without anyone needing to state it outright.
After training ended, Mark wandered off to a quiet corner of the school grounds, closed his eyes, and focused.
Ever since arriving in this world, he had been trying to regain Chavez’s dimensional powers. If he could use them again, he might be able to open a portal back to where he came from. Nothing. Not even the slightest response.
Mark slowly opened his eyes and let out a disappointed sigh. "...Still nothing."
At this point, he had already accepted that whatever was preventing the power from responding wasn’t something brute force could overcome.
Just as he was about to give up for the day, a strange feeling suddenly ran through him.
His brow furrowed. "...Huh?" He instinctively looked toward the distant mountains surrounding Jujutsu High. The feeling disappeared as quickly as it had come.
"Why do I suddenly feel like someone was talking about me?" He looked around, but there was no one nearby. "...Probably just my imagination."
Shrugging it off, he stuffed both hands into his pockets and started walking back toward the dorms.
When Mark opened the door to his room, he immediately saw Satomi sprawled comfortably across his bed as if it belonged to her. She looked up the moment he entered and smiled.
"Oh, there you are. I’ve been waiting for you." She let out an exaggerated sigh before resting her chin on one hand. "I just got chewed out by Principal Yaga. Think I could get a little consolation?"
Mark stared at her for a few seconds without saying a word. Then he slowly backed out of the room.
Click.
He gently closed the door. Standing in the hallway, he looked at the room number to make sure he hadn’t made a mistake.
"...That was definitely my imagination." He nodded to himself. "Yep. No way she’s in my room."
With complete confidence in that conclusion, he decided he wasn’t going back inside. "Yeah... I’ll just take a nap outside on the grass."
The moment he turned around —
Click.
The door opened behind him. Before he could react, two arms wrapped around his neck from behind. Satomi had latched onto his back like a koala.
Mark stumbled forward a step before regaining his balance. He didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was. He let out a tired sigh.
"Let go of me, Satomi. You’re becoming more shameless by the day."
Satomi simply tightened her arms around his neck. "No. I’m comfortable."
