The Evolution of the Weakest Ghoul

Chapter 108: City unrest

Returning to the house, Ronan looked at the two women.

"Ha... hello," Ronan spoke and smiled softly as Hesa narrowed her eyes. Then, she stood up to leave.

"Master, she will be fine..." Yen spoke as Ronan grinned.

"Ha... should be. Yen, do you want to see me?" Ronan asked as Yen blushed.

"See him..." Does that mean...?

---

Hesa closed her door with her heart pounding hard as she felt uneasy.

"What was that?" Hesa couldn’t help but ask. Why did she even go outside?

Was she worried about Ronan being with another woman? Did it matter to her?

But soon, her mind went to what he said.

Killing the whole city... humans like them. That was just brutal.

Kids, teenagers, young adults.

The elderly.

All would be killed, whether good or bad, for him to advance.

That... that was something she felt so uncomfortable with. Yet why didn’t she strongly oppose Ronan? She couldn’t tell him to stop. In fact, when she first heard it, she wanted to do it.

Was this really her? Or was the vampiric side of her affecting her?

---

It was dark by the time Yen walked out, her face practically burning while Ronan looked at the ass shaking with a smile.

This is the life. A fancy house, two beautiful women, and his 56,000 gold coins.

He was fucking rich.

But the night had come, and it was time for him to awaken.

Ronan stood up. The Mayor should have left, and the city should have the highest being at Two-Star Sovereign Realm.

If before Ronan was weak and a Sovereign Realm could defeat him, now he was not. In fact, he had become terrifying.

A white skin covered his body.

White Bone Skin Lv.10.

Ronan felt stronger, and now he could say even a Two-Star Sovereign Realm could be defeated.

This was his confidence as someone with three traits and two of them being first-evolution traits.

Then Ronan picked the dress as he removed the necklace, and his long white hair dropped over his shoulders as a pale, elegant vampire with long silver-white hair, crimson eyes, and delicate features, dressed in a black gothic suit with a collared shirt, ornate silver chains, rings, and dark accessories appeared. (Please refer to the character art to get a better understanding of how Ronan looked.)

His eyes glowed crimson as he moved, leaving the house.

Swish!

Ronan moved like a bullet as Yen and Hesa both looked up in surprise.

Was that Ronan?

They could hardly follow him. He was so strong. It seemed Ronan had transformed. Did he even need their help to conquer the city?

The moon had come out as Ronan stood at the top of a giant building with the moon at his back, his eyes scanning the city as his Blood Servants were summoned.

One after the other, they converged at an abandoned house.

Finally, Ronan, passing by the Transcendent guards, arrived at the house.

About nine individuals appeared before him as Ronan narrowed his eyes.

There was one thing about creating Blood Servants... they were not mind-controlled, meaning they had their own desires and goals. Maybe they answered to you, but you could never know when they would change.

For now, Ronan could kill them if they disobeyed, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t hide and play along, so it was risky. But that was the price to pay for Blood Servants.

Also, there were originally ten Blood Servants, but one died last night.

These Blood Servants were not too strong, just at the Mortal Realm, but to get them, up to thirty humans died last night.

"Master..." Seeing Ronan appear, the nine vampires’ eyes lit up as they bowed.

They were just normal humans who were living their lives after not awakening a trait. Some were even struggling to survive when they met Ronan last night.

He changed their lives and granted them a power they never expected.

It was difficult to get their first kill hit. When they did, be it an old enemy, a co-worker at odds with them... they truly saw the strength of being a vampire and were grateful to Ronan.

"So, how is the investigation going?" Ronan asked.

"Ah... Master, I saw some good candidates."

"Over here, we know someone who is linked to a member of a Noble family."

"I am working towards getting to the gate."

Three vampires stepped up. They had glowing crimson eyes, and their fangs, albeit shorter than Ronan’s, were sharp and gleamed in the night.

Looking at them, Ronan nodded with a smile. His Blood Servants were effective, and with them being original inhabitants of this city, they knew the way around, which helped his plan.

"Good. Gather as many who crave the power to change their lives... I will grant salvation to them." Ronan spread his hands as the nine vampires trembled under his will.

This was the control a vampire had over the ones he turned. The stronger the vampire was (that is, vampire to vampire lord or vampire ancestor), the more control he had over the vampire.

Some could even control the vampire’s actions. As for now, Ronan could only influence fear in them to bind them to his commands.

"Yes, Master," the nine replied.

"Good. Bring the noble member to me in two days. Also, be careful. I have seen the guards have increased," Ronan spoke.

"Yes, my Lord..." They all replied as soon as the meeting was over, and then they dispersed, leaving Ronan alone in the house, his face full of expectations.

The only way he could make the ritual solid was by slowly encroaching into the city, getting some good power beforehand, and finding a way to split apart all the Two-Star Sovereign Realm experts and take them out one after the other. Also, before the day his ritual happened, no human could be allowed to leave the city.

Ronan came out a while later as he looked at the moon. He could sense it. Soon, the moon would turn red, and the day of redemption would arrive. He would reach the pure Vampire Realm, and this city would be his stepping stone to that.

Meanwhile...

Two guards could be seen with tired expressions.

"We have patrolled two more times, yet we can’t find anything. Could it just be a fight that broke out between them?" the first guard spoke while the other frowned.

"How will thirty people cause such a fight, and the others around the area couldn’t hear? That was impossible, which means we have a serial killer around," the second guard spoke.

"Ha... I don’t think a normal human can kill that many without getting caught overnight. Could it be a vampire?" the first guard asked.

"There was no bite mark..."

"Hey, come here... A dead body is here!" Suddenly, they heard a shout nearby as the two guards exchanged glances and rushed there.

By the time they reached the location, they met six more guards already present, looking over the body of the creature below them.

Like they all feared... it was a vampire.
