Awakening Elementary School System in University

Chapter 143 - 105: This Company’s Attractiveness Is Too High

"A big deal? It’s a huge deal!" Old Fan scrambled to the desk and slammed the papers down with a SLAP. His voice trembled with excitement. "Old Tao! Spill it! Which kid from which department in the Group wrote this?! Damn it, they’ve been hiding him too well! Get him to report to our software development team immediately! Right now!"

The smile on Tao Wei’s face widened as he watched Old Fan, who looked ready to poach the person on the spot.

He took a leisurely sip of tea before shaking his head. "You’re getting ahead of yourself. He’s not one of ours."

"He’s not?" Old Fan froze.

Tao Wei then recounted the entire story to Old Fan: how he found the consulting firm, Yanhai, through his connection with Peng Yifeng; how they demanded a fee for the test; and how he ended up with this solution in his hands.

After listening, Old Fan stood rooted to the spot, stunned for a full thirty seconds before he finally processed the frankly unbelievable information.

He picked up the draft from the desk and looked it over again, muttering to himself, "A genius... Now *that’s* a goddamn genius..."

Tao Wei set down his teacup. Looking at his top technical expert, he asked with a smile, "So, Old Fan, how about it? Interested in taking a trip to Jinmen with me?"

"I’m in!"

Old Fan agreed without a moment’s hesitation, his tone resolute.

"I have to see with my own eyes just what kind of freak of nature could write something like this!"

「August 21, Thursday.」

「Jinmen International Airport, Domestic Arrivals.」

"President Tao, welcome!"

Sun Yu, his face wreathed in an enthusiastic smile, stepped forward to greet the party of three who had just emerged from the gate.

Chen Lin was beside him, a pleasant smile on his face, his demeanor composed and confident.

"Haha, Sun, President Chen, thanks for coming all this way to meet us." Tao Wei laughed heartily and shook hands with both of them.

He then turned to introduce the companions by his side.

"This is my assistant, Luo Qin," he said, gesturing to the sharp young man in black-framed glasses.

"And this is the chief algorithm engineer of our software development team, Fan Jianjun. You can call him Engineer Fan." He then indicated the middle-aged man next to him, who was slightly balding but had exceptionally bright eyes.

"A pleasure, President Chen."

Luo Qin nodded politely, but his gaze couldn’t help but settle on Chen Lin, filled with undisguised curiosity and scrutiny.

’From the looks of him, isn’t he just an ordinary university student, albeit a remarkably handsome one?’

’He’s dressed in a simple T-shirt and jeans, with a tall, straight posture and a clean-cut air about him. His face still holds a trace of boyishness.’

’No matter how I look at him, I can’t connect this person with the image of a master who could produce a solution that stunned even Old Fan in a dozen minutes or so.’

The group boarded a pre-arranged van and headed toward Yannan University.

The vehicle eventually stopped in front of the Student Entrepreneurship Center.

When Chen Lin led Tao Wei and his party into a massive office on the second floor, expressions of surprise appeared on both Tao Wei’s and Luo Qin’s faces.

They had assumed that a new student startup, if not based out of a dorm room, would at best be operating out of a small, cramped office of a few hundred square feet.

But the place before them was several thousand square feet, spacious and bright, with immaculate windows. Brand-new desks and chairs were arranged neatly, and the entire space was orderly. It looked nothing like the typical office of a fledgling team.

"President Chen, your office environment is quite impressive," Tao Wei remarked with genuine admiration.

Chen Lin smiled and deflected the praise. "This is all Assistant Huang’s doing. I’m just the hands-off boss."

As he spoke, he led them further into the office, taking the opportunity to introduce two other founding members.

"This is our company’s Executive Assistant to the President, Huang Yiyi."

Huang Yiyi, who was processing documents at her desk, immediately stood up. She offered the visitors a flawless, professional smile and gave a slight nod. "President Tao, Mr. Luo, Engineer Fan, welcome."

Tao Wei’s gaze lingered on Huang Yiyi for a moment, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.

’Good heavens. Her presence, her eloquence, her professionalism... even at the Era Group headquarters, she’d be considered elite.’

"This is Shen Yan, an intern at our company and a top student from the mathematics department here at Yannan University."

Chen Lin gestured to another area.

Shen Yan, who had been quietly reviewing a client file with her headphones on, took them off and stood up. She gave the guests a slightly shy nod and said softly, "Hello."

Luo Qin found himself staring.

’Is... is the average attractiveness in this company a little too high?’

However, his trivial internal commentary was soon swept away by the serious atmosphere that followed.

Guided by Huang Yiyi, the group arrived at a long table—temporarily created by pushing two desks together—and took seats on either side.

Huang Yiyi then brought glasses of water for the guests.

After a few brief pleasantries, Chen Lin decided not to waste any more time. He leaned forward slightly, a confident smile on his face as he looked at Tao Wei. "President Tao," he said, getting straight to the point, "let’s not beat around the bush. You can tell me about the problem you’re facing now."

Hearing this, a flash of appreciation appeared in Tao Wei’s eyes.
