Chapter 119 - 83: Preparing Materials
For a full ten seconds, Huang Yiyi seemed to be re-evaluating the young man before her, who still had the air of a student.
"President Chen," she began again, her tone now a bit more serious, "I’ve seen the video of you solving problems at the modeling competition. To be honest, I don’t really understand the math involved, but I’ve looked up a lot of related materials and commentary, so I have a general idea of your level of expertise in this field."
She paused, then continued, "I’ve also gotten a detailed explanation of your new company’s business model from President Peng. All things considered, I believe this company’s future potential is indeed immense. And with the sincerity you’ve shown today..."
She looked at Chen Lin, and that professional yet approachable smile returned to her face.
"I’m willing to join."
Hearing this, Chen Lin’s face instantly broke into a brilliant smile.
"That’s fantastic!" he said sincerely. "Welcome aboard! So, my company isn’t even officially established yet, and I already have two employees!"
Actually, there were three. But Chen Lin and Shen Yan had agreed she would officially join after graduation, so there was no need to tell anyone else just yet.
Hearing his half-joking remark, Huang Yiyi also gave a faint smile, and a hint of softness crept into her capable demeanor.
Chen Lin led Huang Yiyi, navigating the quiet corridors of the administration building with ease, finally stopping at the door of a conference room.
"This should be the place."
He raised his hand and knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
From inside the room immediately came Principal Chang Kai’s resonant voice.
Chen Lin pushed the door open and entered. Inside the spacious and bright conference room, Principal Chang was sitting in the main seat, wearing his signature smile that put everyone at ease.
And beside him sat three other people.
One of them, a middle-aged man in his early forties, sat to Principal Chang’s left. He wore a well-fitting, dark casual suit and black-framed glasses. His eyes were sharp, exuding an air of shrewd competence.
The other two were much younger, looking to be about twenty-four or twenty-five. A man and a woman, both dressed in simple white shirts, sat a little further away. They had notebooks and pens in front of them and a respectful posture, making it hard to tell if they were teachers or students.
"Ah, you’re here!" As soon as Principal Chang Kai saw Chen Lin, he stood up enthusiastically and came forward to greet him. "Come, Student Chen Lin, let me make some introductions."
He first pointed to the middle-aged man with glasses beside him. "This is the head of our university’s Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base, He Qun."
Then, he gestured to the two young people. "These two are graduate students from the business school. They’re also intern assistants at our entrepreneurship base, responsible for helping Teacher He with daily tasks."
Chen Lin immediately nodded politely to each of them in greeting. "Hello, Teacher He. Hello, seniors."
He Qun and the two graduate students also quickly stood up and responded politely.
He Qun, in particular, looked at Chen Lin with undisguised curiosity and scrutiny.
He had long since heard about Chen Lin’s achievements from Principal Chang and knew the importance of today’s meeting.

"Principal Chang, Teacher He," Chen Lin said, turning sideways to introduce Huang Yiyi to everyone. "This is Miss Huang Yiyi, a consultant from Tiansheng Group. President Peng specifically arranged for her to come and take full responsibility for all the preparatory work before our new company is established."
Huang Yiyi stepped forward with poise and grace. With a professional yet approachable smile on her face, she proactively extended her hand. "Principal Chang, Teacher He, it’s a pleasure to meet you."
"Ah, welcome, welcome!" Principal Chang Kai’s eyes lit up. He quickly shook Huang Yiyi’s hand, his voice full of enthusiasm. "President Peng is truly a great friend! He’s sent one of Tiansheng Group’s finest to support us! Miss Huang, please, have a seat!"
Everyone sat down again.
After some simple pleasantries, the meeting quickly moved on to the main agenda.
As expected of a professional, Huang Yiyi wasted no time. She took a printed checklist from her briefcase and placed it gently in the center of the conference table.
"Principal Chang, Teacher He, President Chen," she began, naturally taking control of the meeting’s pace. "According to the relevant regulations for registering a limited liability company, we currently need to prepare several core documents."
Her finger tapped lightly on the checklist as she went through it item by item.
"First, a copy of the ID card of the legal representative, which is President Chen."
"That’s easy," Chen Lin said immediately. "I have my ID with me today. I can just go find a print shop later and make a copy."
Chang Kai said, "No need to find a print shop. There’s a photocopier in the building. You can go make a copy in a bit."
"Second, proof of the company’s registered address," Huang Yiyi continued.
As soon as she finished speaking, Principal Chang Kai chimed in with a smile, "Our university has already taken care of that for Student Chen Lin! Yannan University has unused co-working space. I’ll have Teacher He arrange it later. We’ll set aside the best area to be Student Chen Lin’s company office for the next three years! As for the rent, we’ll charge just twenty to thirty percent of the market rate! Consider it a little bit of support from the university for our own student’s entrepreneurial venture!"
Chen Lin’s heart warmed at his words.
Principal Chang was truly impeccable; he offered tangible benefits while phrasing things so beautifully that no one could find fault.
Huang Yiyi also smiled slightly and nodded. "That’s wonderful. With an official lease contract issued by the university, the proof of address will be no problem at all."
She continued looking at the checklist. "Third, filling out several business information registration forms, such as the ’Company Registration (Filing) Application Form,’ the ’List of Shareholders (Promoters),’ and so on."
Chen Lin leaned in to look at the names of the forms and felt his head spin, overwhelmed by the dizzying list.
Huang Yiyi seemed to notice his predicament and added with a smile, "President Chen, you don’t need to worry about this. I’ll go over the specific requirements for filling out the forms with you one by one. There isn’t much to them, so we can finish them quickly."
He Qun, who was at the side, immediately chimed in, "That’s right. After you’re done, you can also give them to us to double-check and ensure everything is foolproof."
"Then I’ll have to trouble you, Miss Huang and Teacher He," Chen Lin said, sighing in relief.
"Finally, and this is the most important document," Huang Yiyi’s tone became more serious as she took another bound document from her briefcase. "The company’s ’Articles of Incorporation.’"
She pushed the document to the center of the table. "These articles cover all the core issues: the company’s shareholding structure, governance model, profit distribution, and so on. Following President Peng’s instructions, I’ve prepared a simple initial draft based on a standard template. The university’s side can take a look first. If there’s anything that needs to be changed or added, we can discuss it."
Hearing this, Principal Chang Kai gave He Qun a meaningful look.
He Qun understood the unspoken cue. He immediately reached out, took the Articles of Incorporation, and put on a serious expression. "Our main purpose for coming here today is to discuss these articles. After all, the university will also be investing, so we must study these core provisions thoroughly."
