Chapter 230: Don't Have Any Extra Ideas
"Take this!"
Li Mei was in a foul mood. She didn't know who Zhou Huang was nodding to, but it pissed her off all the same. Without another word, she slashed at Zhou Fan with the two curved blades in her hands!
"Whoa, hold on! Didn't I tell you to wait? Have you no shame? Is that Old Witch, Vermilion Bird, your aunt or something? You're both so dishonorable!" Even as Zhou Fan spoke, his hands moved with incredible speed. The instant she struck, his Li Hen Sword shot forward to meet her!
'So what if you have curved blades?'
'Are they longer than my Li Hen Sword?'
'Won't it hurt if I stab you?'
Li Mei didn't dare to be careless. She quickly used her two blades to clamp down on the Li Hen Sword. Her investigation into Zhou Fan had made her well aware of just how vicious the longsword in his hand was.
"Are you sick in the head? We're in a fight, be serious. Why are you trying to clamp my sword?" Zhou Fan gave Li Mei a look of disgust. With a flick of his wrist, he shook off her blades. Then, he stepped forward and swung the Li Hen Sword in a horizontal slash. "Besides, even if you wanted to get frisky, you should at least look in a mirror! If you can't afford a mirror at home, don't you have piss? Can't you take a look in that? Don't you have any idea what you look like?"
As Zhou Fan attacked, his sharp-tongued insults didn't let up for a second, making Li Mei so furious she wished she could eat him alive.
"Bastard, shut your mouth!" Li Mei shrieked. She had intended to smack his longsword with both her blades, but his words made her forcibly change her approach. She used one blade to press down on his sword while the other chopped toward Zhou Fan's left shoulder!
But with Zhou Fan's current level of strength, how could a single curved blade possibly restrain him?
Seeing Li Mei's choice, a mocking smirk played on Zhou Fan's lips. He raised his left hand, a dagger appearing to flawlessly block her attack. At the same time, with a light flick of his right wrist, the Li Hen Sword shot from his grasp, flying straight for Li Mei's abdomen!
SQUISH.
Li Mei stared in disbelief at the longsword embedded in her abdomen. She instinctively tried to retreat, but now that Zhou Fan had struck, how could he possibly let her get away so easily?
Zhou Fan instantly took two steps forward and grabbed the hilt again. With a surge of strength, he twisted the blade a full circle inside her body. By the time Li Mei managed to pull herself back and away, a pillar of blood erupted from her stomach!
Zhou Fan stood holding his sword, a faint smile on his face as he looked at Li Mei—or rather, at the illusory black python behind her. The python was currently glaring at him with its triangular eyes, which radiated boundless, sinister malice.
Li Mei's strength was nothing for Zhou Fan to fear. What truly concerned him was the phantom python on her. He didn't know how it had gotten onto her, but he could feel a trace of danger from it. Even after his own power had surged today, that sense of danger hadn't diminished in the slightest.
"Kill him!" Li Mei clutched her wound in disbelief. After staggering off the fighting stage, she roared, and her subordinates swarmed toward Zhou Fan and his group like a hive of bees.
"Li Mei, have you gone mad? Have you forgotten the clan's orders?" Ah Lian shouted delicately, quickly shielding Chen Feng as she watched the crowd surge forward.
But Li Mei had clearly lost her mind. She couldn't care less about any orders; her only thought was to kill Zhou Fan and avenge her niece and son!
"Protect Miss Chen! I'm going to back up Zhou Fan!" Seeing the situation, a flash of excitement and bloodlust crossed Bai Zhi's beautiful eyes. After a quick word to Fan, she leaped forward, dagger in hand, and plunged into the crowd.
'Damn, as expected, everyone who hangs out with Zhou Fan is a warmonger. So many people, so dangerous... It's better over here!' Fan lamented, but he was already standing in front of Chen Yao. A short distance to Chen Yao's right were Ah Lian and Chen Feng. This way, Fan only needed to guard against enemies from the left and front.
Nearby, Ah Lian saw this and a flicker of killing intent flashed in her eyes as she looked at Chen Yao. Fan, who had just finished off an enemy, noticed it immediately. He turned his head and pointed his dagger at her, warning, "You'd better not get any funny ideas. Those guys down there are no match for Zhou Fan. Once he kills them all and sees that you dared to make a move on Chen Yao, I guarantee he'll retaliate like a madman!"
It had to be said, Fan's threat was quite effective. At the very least, after hearing his words, Ah Lian turned her head away and focused on protecting Chen Feng, retreating continuously without another glance at Chen Yao.
Meanwhile, in the midst of the crowd, Zhou Fan's eyes had turned red with slaughter. The number of bodies falling to the Li Hen Sword grew, and he steadily pushed his way forward.
However, Zhou Fan wasn't moving to support Bai Zhi, nor was he going to protect Chen Yao. He was cutting a path toward Li Mei, who was being protected by the crowd.
