The Ultimate Devil's Magnificent CEO

Chapter 195: What's Your Plan?

Do you trust me?

Hearing Zhou Fan's simple question, Chen Yao smiled sweetly. "I trust you," she said with almost no hesitation. "The unconditional kind of trust!"

Zhou Fan laughed, turned to Li Mei, and said coolly, "It's a deal!"

With that, Zhou Fan stood up and left with Chen Yao.

"Are we really making such a big gamble? That Zhou Fan is no simple character!" Chen Feng glanced at the others and asked, seemingly puzzled.

"Don't worry, Chairman Chen. He's bound to lose!" Li Mei said with a smile, then stood up and left with the other three people.

In an instant, only Chen Feng and Ah Lian remained in the office.

"Young Master, is there anything we need to do?" Ah Lian sat obediently beside Chen Feng, motioning for him to rest his head on her lap. She then began to gently massage his temples.

"We're not doing anything. Let the two of them fight it out. It doesn't matter to us who wins or loses," Chen Feng said softly, but his mind was replaying the earlier conversation between Zhou Fan and Chen Yao.

'Damn it, what's this "unconditional trust" crap?!'

Suddenly, Chen Feng had the feeling that his own sister was about to be spirited away by Zhou Fan.

"Zhou Fan, do you have a plan?" Chen Yao asked quietly as they were going down in the elevator.

"No plan. I'm just planning to sell you!" Zhou Fan grinned, but his large hand once again found its way to Chen Yao's butt for a mischievous, secret swat. "You almost ruined things back there. Don't be so impulsive in the future. This slap is a lesson for you!"

"You bastard, are you getting addicted to this?" Chen Yao glared, only to see Zhou Fan shamelessly nod in response.

"Boss, you're done already? We kept a good watch on your car for you, didn't let anyone touch it!" Seeing Zhou Fan and Chen Yao come down, the same security guards from before hurried over to greet them.

"Yeah, finished up my business, so I came down." Zhou Fan smiled and nodded, then took out a pack of cigarettes and handed one to each of them. Afterward, he asked casually, "Brothers, I remember the Chen Family didn't used to have this many people in the building. How come there seem to be so many new faces today?"

"Eh, about that, we're not too clear on the details. We're all new here too. We've heard—and this is just a rumor, mind you—that the Chen Family's company has a lot of outsiders now. They say Chairman Chen has been stripped of his power. Every day around closing time, a bunch of people leave the building in a hurry, driving off in their cars."

"And judging by the way they dress, they look like thugs from a movie. We wouldn't dare ask them anything!"

"I think they look more like killers. My buddy from back home works inside, and he says there's a guy in his department... the way he looks at people, it's just like the guy who used to butcher pigs in our village. Real fierce!"

The security guards all chimed in, one after another, each wanting to make a good impression on Zhou Fan. They figured if this big boss in their eyes got happy and tossed them ten or twenty thousand, splitting it would be like a whole month's salary.

"How about this? I have a few friends who want to work here too, but I've heard parking spaces are hard to come by. Would it be okay if I had them bring their cars over in a bit?" Zhou Fan nodded, then changed the subject. He looked at them with a broad smile, revealing two thick stacks of cash in his hand—a full twenty thousand.

"Boss, what are you saying? How should we address you? Your friends can come anytime. Just have them mention your name, and we'll have a spot for them, anytime!" The guards' eyes lit up at the sight of the cash in Zhou Fan's hands, and they thumped their chests, making firm guarantees.

"My surname is Zhou. I'll thank you brothers in advance, then. I'll be back in a couple of days to thank you all properly," Zhou Fan said, stuffing the cash into one guard's hands. He then pulled a carton of premium cigarettes from the trunk and gave it to them as well.

Amidst the guards' repeated assurances and goodbyes, Zhou Fan drove away with Chen Yao.

"Captain, doesn't this feel a bit wrong?" one of the more timid guards asked, worried that taking so much money would lead to trouble.

"What's wrong about it? We don't know anything, and we didn't hear anything. Besides, even if the Chen Group collapses, the worst that can happen is we find another security job. Are you really planning to slave away for these damn capitalists for a few thousand a month?" the captain shot a glare at the man, then waved the others over to a secluded spot to split the money.

"Zhou Fan, aren't they afraid of getting caught by the company for doing that?" In the car, Chen Yao looked confused. From her perspective, it was completely unethical.

"And what if they are discovered? If anyone asks, the worst they did was let a non-company car into the lot. What's the company going to do to them? Fire them, at most. But do you think they're afraid of being fired?" Zhou Fan gave a helpless smile. 'Chen Yao is still so naive.' He ruffled her messy short hair. "For a cushy office job where you drink tea, slack off for eight hours, and earn over ten thousand a month, maybe nobody wants to get fired. But for a job where you're out in the sun and rain for four or five thousand a month? Nobody's afraid of that."

"Oh, I see. So, what's your plan? Tell me!" Chen Yao nodded thoughtfully, then asked again with renewed curiosity.
