Villain's POV: The Heroines Want Me!

Rize used the element of surprise as he tackled the woman down with a quick move before he grabbed her arms and then punched her in the stomach. The woman took a split second to even comprehend what just happened. Someone had just attacked her out of the darkness.

'Intruders!' Her eyes lit up with anger as she tried to grab her gun quickly. However, when she reached out for it, she didn't find it there.

"Looking for something?" The boy's playful tone reached her as she felt a cold metallic object press against her head. "Don't you dare make a move or I'm going to blow your head off, understood?" He said.

"... Bastard…" She clenched her teeth as she lifted her hands in the air.

"Ugh!"

At the same time, Venera was able to flip the man over her back, throwing him to the ground before she stole his gun and aimed it at his head too.

'As expected of her.' Rize nodded.

"Who the hell are you two?!"

"Shut up," Venera said coldly. "If I hear another word, I'm killing you. Only I get to ask questions."

"..."

Even though her voice sounded youthful, the two could tell that she wasn't joking around. She would pull the trigger without hesitation, and that scared them.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON OVER THERE?!!"

At that moment, the two heard a silhouette approaching them in a hurry. Immediately, the two pulled their hostages back as they stood behind them while aiming the gun at them.

Eventually, the man emerged from the darkness. He had tanned skin and a bald head with dark tattoos all around his neck and torso. He was clad in a half-sleeved jacket with no shirt underneath, showing his toned body.

"Who the hell are you?!"

"If you dare to do anything, we are sending your two friends to hell," Rize said coldly as he pinned the gun to the woman's head. "Who are you and what are you trying to do to this place?"

"..." The man squinted his eyes as he stared at the two for a second before he clenched his fists.

"..."

"Speak!" Rize said as he pressed the gun even harder against the woman's head.

"How about we relax for a bit? There is nothing going on here. We are just workers fixing some pipes under this-"

*BANG*

Rize suddenly lifted the gun up and shot the roof, sending the man named X into a solemn silence.

"I couldn't hear you quite well…"

"..."

'This bastard.'

"Yeah, we are about to blow this entire place to smithereens." He said after a moment of silence. "None of the people above will survive the explosion."

"Why are you doing such a thing?" Rize asked.

"You and your people will never get it. Living behind these great walls in peace. You would never get what we go through. This is our message to you and your people." X said as he lifted something up in the air. Rize immediately recognized it as a remote controller, perhaps the trigger that would start the countdown.

"..."

'What the hell is he talking about?' Rize frowned. 'I've heard them mentioning a name, 'Zathari'... But that was never mentioned in the story. Is it some sort of group? Or organization?' Rize felt confused with each passing second.

"Whatever you think you're gonna do. It won't happen. Those above us are innocent people."

"No one is innocent. You all have blood on your hands. Innocent blood." X said as his eyes flashed with a dangerous glint.

"Don't you dare press that button. Your people, and you will die." Rize said coldly as he signaled for Venera to get ready. He felt that something was off about these people. Even though they had guns to their heads, they didn't seem that disturbed whatsoever.

How could they not be scared? Were they about to die?

'Something is wrong… Something is very wrong…'

"Soon, all of you will hear our name reverberate across the corner of the nation. You all will remember us forever." X said as a wide grin appeared on his face. Then, he moved his thumb to press the button.

"Venera!"

Rize yelled Venera's name as he suddenly released the woman and rushed forward. At the same time, Venera aimed her gun at the man and shot.

*BANG*

The bullet flew toward his hand, piercing through it right as he tried to press the button.

"AGH!!" X screamed in pain as the trigger fell from his hand. "You… bastard!!!"

He tried to grab the trigger again with his other hand, only for Rize to reach him as he kicked him in the stomach and took the trigger.

"Give it back!!!" The man yelled as he lunged at Rize, only for the latter to spin around, kicking him in the jaw as he sent him flying several feet back.

"Thank you, I'm taking this." He said as he aimed his gun at the woman. "I can see you trying to pull another gun from under your clothes. Don't you even think about it."

However, even under his warning, the woman still tried to touch her other gun. However, that was when she was shocked to realize…

'It's not there… Wait, don't tell me…'

"You're looking for this?" Rize asked as he showed her the other gun. "You're really not very aware, are you?"

'How did he take it…' She was completely speechless.

Meanwhile, Venera was simply impressed by Rize. The two coordinated the perfect ambush and took control of the entire situation.

"Let's see what this is about…" Rize inspected the controller. It had several buttons on it that were related to the bomb they planted. 'Judging from this controller, they didn't plant one bomb… But several ones all over this tunnel system… They probably wanted the entire amusement park to collapse and take everyone with it.'

The idea was sinister and completely evil. To put the lives of many innocent souls under threat just to send a message. It was completely unforgivable.

"Hah… Hah… Hah…" X coughed violently as he held his throat.

Then, he suddenly felt a leg stomp on his back, slamming him to the ground. "Who is with you? How many are they?"

"..."

"Speak!"

"Hahahaha… Over my dead body…" The man laughed wickedly. "They don't need to wait for us. Soon, the show will begin, and you bastards will watch helplessly as everything goes to ruin before your eyes! Hahahahaha! AGH!"

Kicking him in the stomach, Rize pointed the gun at him. "You think I'm joking with you, idiot? Your entire plan is gone. I have the trigger in my hand. You can't do anything about it."

"..." The man didn't reply for a few seconds. His eyes simply stared at Rize.

"Hm, I guess there is no point in talking to yo-"

Just as he turned around to look at Venera… All his senses went off as he felt a chill run down his spine. His eyes locked onto the tunnel exit, just as he saw a reflection of something.

'A gu-'

*BANG*

The bullet shot through the air at horrifying speeds. Rize could not see it nor sense it; however, his instincts had already kicked in a split second before the bullet was shot, and he tried to jump to the side.

Everything then went pitch black.
